Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Don't believe the hype. The whole process as you sign up is designed to protect PurpleBricks from you, their own customer. I complained on the grounds that the services were not provided as described and certainly not professional. Sadly, once you sign up, by the time you realise you are getting a subpar service, you are long contractually stuck with them. I lost thousands and am seeking redress but please beware that should things go awry, PurpleBricks has you backed into a corner from which you have no way out other than the judiciary route. Also, don't believe they are cheapest. I eventually switched to a proper estate agent, brick and mortar, and sold my house within weeks. The difference in professional services was night and day. But the most important here? Estate agent will match or beat PurpleBricks quotes, so don't risk it, it's not worth the pain, financial and emotional, and don't believe they are cheapest because this is not true.

Waste of money go local

Purple Bricks waste of money. No floorplan , had to wait weeks for energy survey. They do not vett anyone who visits your home they let anyone come for a day out. They overprice your property. Pictures are very poor. Go directly to your local estate agents have them all around and pick the one you are most comfortable with. Sold my home with local estate agents in two weeks after purple bricks had it on the market for 9 months!

would never, even if the last estate agent use them. miss advised on selling price, used other sold houses with wrong sold prices. not one showing. then told it was our fault. service is a complete rip off, dont use them. pay a little more and have proper local estate agents who now the area and what the market is doing. went straight to a local agent and got people through the door instantly and with a offers

The worst letting agent. We had to move out because we reported maintenance issues and they never, in 9 months we lived in the apartment, fixed them. Never replied my emails, even that the issues was a real safety hazard. Once we moved out they never gave us our deposit back. Don't ever use them! Nobody seems to work in this agency. Unforfessional, unefficient and careless.

Communication and "experts"

Our landlord is selling our property and found out 4 weeks before I myself had to contact purple bricks to ask them what was going on, they have nothing but unhelpful, rude and to be Frank shouldnt be involved in dealing with peoples lives effectively what they are doing, never had any issues up untill moving out which is out of our control, shocking customers service!! I would never rent a property let alone buy a property from them.

We had a water leak through our kitchen light fitting and contacted Purplebricks 5+ times over a week and still they did not respond. They didn't tell us about tenant viewings in advance and also didn't notify us when the viewings were cancelled. We were blamed by the landlord for shoddy work carried out by a contractor hired by PB and PB didn't back up our case at all.

Had extremely bad experience with purple bricks. They never replied to emails not for emergency breakdowns. My deposit return was delayed two months after leaving the property in Leicester. They literally made me begging and crying for deposit return. It look like no one is working in it.

Don't use if you want to sell in buyer's market. Use in seller's market.

Selling price - Inaccurate valuation and poor advisory as using price reduction as first port of attracting interest. Agent has poor experience in marketing nor any local experience. The online dashboard works poorly per testing as buyer booking appointment. The only good thing is the one off fee for a property until it is sold. If you are not in a hurry to sell this maybe good idea.

Bunch of Clowns

These bunch of clowns manage my daughters house for the landlord who lives overseas. 4 months of no shower, leaking pipes leading to wrecked carpet and warped floors and mold. Leaking gutters, no gutters leading to damp but theyre not bothered. Numerous emails and being told to go online and report it and having nothing done.
