Amber and Neil at Dacre, Son & Hartley York were hugely helpful in the process of us buying our home. They were always fast to reply and incredibly knowledgeable as well as friendly. I’d highly recommend.

My partner and I have just had the absolute pleasure of being looked after by Amber, for our very first house purchase. Following a rather heartbreaking experience after the first property we attempted to purchase fell through, we were very apprehensive on starting the entire process again. However, from the word go, Amber was attentive, supportive and extremely kind. Our first viewing of the property was a lovely experience, and Amber introduced us to the previous owners in a way that put everyone at ease immediately. She was extremely thorough with her tour, and no question was a silly one. We didn’t feel rushed and even had time to sit with the previous owner, which made the experience much more personal and feel a lot less formal and transactional. She had our back from the start, asking the hard questions, making the difficult calls, and doing what she could to secure us our dream first home. Whether we wished to view the property, ask something of the owners, communicate with other solicitors (the list is endless), Amber was there and got on the phone immediately. There was even a point where our move in date had to be pushed back due to the lack of removals companies for the sellers, and Amber was ringing every removal company in existence to try and keep the original date for us. Things like this happen and she could have easily taken the easy road and explained there was nothing she could do, but the fact she tried everything was fantastic. We will always be thankful to Amber for making the entire experience as pain free and as easy as possible. We were supported throughout and there was nothing that Amber wouldn’t attempt to solve or help us with. Even since we’ve moved in, we’ve felt comfortable enough to ring her up with things that are possibly a little silly to ask, but have still received the same amount of support as we did when we were right at the beginning of the process. From contacting Dacres to completion , Neil and team were fantastic. They took any stress out of the process, were on the end of the phone to answer any questions no matter what time of day. They were really flexible when it came to house viewings and NO pressure was put on us during viewing or any time throughout the process. Their support and guidance was unmatched. Post completion date , Neil has kept in contact with us to see how the home renovations were coming along. Their serviced does not end just because we have the keys. 5 stars all the way!
