As a 23 year old who as never bought a property before I was full of anxiety and thought I was definitely going to have a nervous breakdown until I met Poppy I went into my appointment knowing nothing about mortgages and came out feeling like I knew everything (I didn't but felt like I did) the way Poppy went through it and explained it me as a complete novice was so much appreciated. Such a lovely helpful person and a very patient and reassuring person in my times of panic. I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending Poppy.

Updated: Following my original review, we submitted a formal complaint to Connells. We have now received a response from their Lettings Support Centre, but unfortunately the core issue remains unresolved. To be clear, we do not dispute the landlord’s right to serve notice. Our concern has always been about the complete lack of communication despite multiple emails, phone calls, and an online enquiry prior to Christmas. We have provided call logs, email correspondence, and voicemail evidence showing our attempts to engage. The formal response stated they could not identify incoming calls, which contradicts the records we supplied. This matter has now been escalated internally for further review. We hope Connells will reflect on how communication with tenants is handled, particularly in situations as significant as the end of a tenancy. ___________ My husband and I originally had a very positive experience with Connells Witney when we first rented our home. Samuel was professional, responsive, and attentive, and he helped us find a property that we truly loved. The welcome gift on moving-in day was a thoughtful touch and made a stressful day feel special. Unfortunately, our more recent experience has been very disappointing. Despite contacting the branch from early December through multiple emails and a phone call to the Lettings Manager (Shane) to ask about the future of our tenancy, we received no response or guidance. Instead, we were sent a formal Section 21 notice without any prior communication or warning. While we understand that landlords are entitled to regain possession and that the notice itself is a legal process, the lack of communication and consideration in how this was handled came as a shock. A simple email or phone call would have made a significant difference and shown basic courtesy. It is disappointing that an experience which began so positively has ended in this way. Clearer and more timely communication would greatly improve the service for tenants, especially when dealing with matters as significant as the end of a tenancy.

Although Sam mostly focuses on the Letting side, he was very welcoming and informative as best as he could be and took our information to pass on to his colleague.
