I cannot rate this company enough. I have rented through Homested for the past 24 years, and in that time they have been nothing short of outstanding. As my family has grown and our needs have changed, they have always been there to support us with moves, making each transition as smooth as possible. What I appreciate most is that Homested genuinely has their tenants’ best interests at heart. Any faults or issues are dealt with promptly, and the work is always carried out by professional, reliable tradesmen and women. Their properties are well-maintained, and it’s clear they take pride in the homes they provide. Rent has always been fair and competitive, and whenever I’ve needed them, they’ve been just a phone call away, friendly, approachable, and quick to help. After more than two decades, I can confidently say Homested is a company that truly cares about its tenants. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and supportive rental company.

Worst letting agent we have dealt with. We rented a property between 2023 and 2025 on inhams Road and we're disappointed with the way they treated us during that time. On one occasion I called on behalf of my husband who was working and stated that something needs fixing, this was no fault of ours. The response we got over the phone was "your husband is a man, shouldn't he be able to do it?" This comment was extremely sexist and rude. If this was said I reverse about a woman I'm sure they would have something to say. We were also promised that when we move in we can purchase a fence to make the area more private and safe for our then 5 month old. As soon as we moved in they changed their minds and even when I expressed concerns with people coming round to the back of the property at night nothing was done. They did not care at all about the condition of the property or the residents that lived there. There was also issues with electricity when we moved in which left us being unable to cook for our child who was just being introduced to food. While I explained my concerns a can't be asked attitude was given and I was told to wait till next week. That was a whole 3 days not having facilities to cook or warm anything up for our baby. We had to travel to family in Northamptonshire because of this. When we gave in our notice to leave. Harriet also tried to tell us when we have to be avaliable for viewings of the property. We had to write an email explaining our rights as tenants. We were expecting our second child and in the process of moving out and was not available for viewings until a certain date. After writing an email no apology for the appalling behaviour was given. I'm surprised we got our full deposit back as these people were always causing stress. Thank God we are now out of renting and have a home to call our own. If your wanting to rent Stay away from letting agents like these.

Very poor process to rent . I personally know its discriminatory to my kind but they can hide under process . It is better you tell people there application is not successful than expecting people to be chasing after you and you are telling them viewing is not guaranteed . 3 properties i enquire same Harriet typing same thing and no sense of feedback but I know .If you are my kind please dont waste your time with them

I rented in London via half a dozen landlords or property management companies over a number of years yet none come close to the personal touch and supreme dedication of the Homestead girls. Honestly, one weekend I had a problem with my heating and emailed them expecting a reply at 9am on the Monday but no, within 10 minutes they sent advice for a short term fix until the plumber could get to me. Friendly, knowledgeable, really easy to deal with and a real thirst to help.
