Found them very honest and genuine group of people who worked very hard to move things forward whilst also keeping you updated on relevant matters. Very easy to deal with throughout with a special mention for Helen who really did go above and beyond our expectations. Now in our new home. Thank you Atherton's.

GoogleAthertons handled the selling of our unique property. It took 15 months to sell due to the market conditions. After a few months Athertons retook the photos and advised us to reduce the price which led to more viewings and eventually an offer and sale. Mostly, Athertons showed our property but in the very busy summer we did show the property ourselves 3 times. They were professional and knowledgeable about the local area. The staff at Whalley are very friendly and proactive. Simon was excellent throughout the whole process. The after sales service from Helen was brilliant. Highly recommended.

The communication with myself and chasing up the solicitor when needed was key into me purchasing my property. Amazing team!

GoogleAmazing service from start to finish. We did our initial property viewing with Russell who was so knowledgeable about the local area and properties. We were then looked after by Julie and Angela who were both wonderful. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. They were always very quick to respond, super friendly and gave helpful advice. We now have our dream home and we hope we never move again, but we would always recommend Athertons to anyone looking to buy or sell.

Its a family business and deliver the best service starting from the first visit, which was by John the founder of the business. Julie & Angela in the office are excellent at updating you on the sale after the Team have completed the marketing.

Simon offered me his advice on more than one occasion, kept me up to date and dealt with me in a charming and professional way. Throughout the whole process John, Tom and Helen were always on hand to give us regular updates reference the purchase and we were never hanging around waiting for responses to emails or enquiries. GoogleWe have just moved and purchased a property through Athertons in Whalley. Through out the process they have contacted us asking for updates on our sales as we were selling 2 properties. They were very proactive in particular Helen which is more than I can say for the estate agents selling our own property. On the day of completion one of our sales the money hadn't been released from our buyers building society. We were all packed up waiting at our new home for the keys from 11am in the morning. However as completion hadn't taken place we couldn't get the keys. This delay went on all day. At 4.30pm our daughter went to Athertons eagerly waiting for completion. Helen once again proactively was on to our buyers solicitor to chase the release of the funds she also rang our own estates to see if they could put pressure on the building society. The keys were literally released to us at 5pm. Helen went above and beyond to ensure we were not homeless for the weekend as the solicitors had already said they finished at 5pm and wouldn't be available to Monday. I only wish our own estate agent had been as good as Athertons and in particular Helen. I would most certainly recommend them as they were so so helpful at a very stressful time. GoogleWe have recently purchased a property in Pleasington where Athertons were the selling acting on behalf of the vendors rather than ourselves. However due to a very protracted period from agreeing the purchase to completion as a result of a chain of some seven properties we finally completed earlier this month. We have to say that in spite of Simon Kerrins and his team not being instructed by us they have been extremely helpful pleasant and professional throughout the process and have managed to keep their own clients calm and patient throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone using Athertons for the sale or purchase of properties anywhere in the Blackburn and Ribble valley areas Gwynne Furlong FRICS

GoogleWe employed Atherton’s to market and sell a cottage which had belonged to a much-loved, deceased relative. The valuation and marketing of the property were professionally managed in a descriptive style through excellent photography and prose. In the event, the sale proved difficult because of problems created by the prospective buyer. In spite of the fact that the buyer had not made use of Atherton’s excellent service, the staff gave up their valuable time in sorting out a range of issues, and ultimately the sale was concluded. The approach of all the staff was very professional, efficient and effective. When we visited the Whalley office, we were always made welcome, and came away feeling that progress had been made. Without their assistance and encouragement we may well have pulled out of the sale. We thoroughly recommend Atherton’s to anyone with property to buy or sell, professional, friendly, welcoming, supportive, efficient and effective. Ten out of ten recommendation.

GoogleI recently requested a viewing online and received no response. When my partner called to schedule a viewing, we were told that they had seen the request but were too busy to respond. We then scheduled a viewing over the phone and travelled to the property at the scheduled date and time, but they did not show up, and when we called, we were told that it had not been booked in. Unfortunately, the seller has lost a potential sale on their home because we will not reschedule a viewing with an incompetent agency that cannot even show up for a viewing. Very poor. Update: Thank you for your response. I can confirm that the person we spoke with initially did not specify that this was your process. As previously discussed, we were told that this was scheduled and that we should only expect a call if something changed. We did not receive any missed calls or voicemails on either of the phone numbers provided nor did we receive an email.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

You had requested a viewing time with us for that property which we tried to organise with the vendor however the viewing time was not available and therfore was not confirmed. We tried calling to contact yourself with another viewing time however couldn't get through to yourselves. The appoinmnet was never booked in which is why you didn't recieve our normal email and text confirmations. GoogleVery poor professional service as a potential buyer I approach this agency and obtain information for a property unfortunately the agent was not willing to send information requested out due to other previous potential buyers letting them down, quoting unfortunately fool me once fool on you fool me twice fool on me? As a property professional I would not appreciate an agent who is not interested or willing to proceed to sell my properties based on past potential buyer’s not proceeding. Certainly need to work on why they are in the industry which to point out the obvious is to sell property not obstruct potential sales. Not the first time I have heard not great things about the way in which they try and sell. I really hope they improve the way they approach potential buyers in the future. I appreciate as an experienced property buyer in the industry some clients may not wish to waste time but I often have found the agent can significantly put potentially buyers off with blunt, somewhat passive aggressive tones. What the agent failed to appreciate the development finance lends with confidence with structural defect properties.
