Any SUBBIES that constantly do not get paid fair and square off Lovell , when they have carried out works.Contra charges at ridiculously amounts.These large companies need to be made accountable thinking they can treat smaller companies as they like. RIP off. There actions have detrimental effect on small companies not to mention peoples mental health. ONGOING.

Our fourth new house we’ve bought. May be the pandemic has impacted but could of been a bit more customer service. Also not being able to see you plot is not helpful. It’s a big decision and you wouldn’t buy an old house before seeing where it stands.

I am quoting Lovell customer team member words sent to me about this issue. Your property undergoes various inspections by both the construction team and the NHBC before your purchase is complete, this is when any mistakes can be picked up and addressed.This has not obviously been followed. So many of human errors that easily could be noticed while building the house at the first place.I had broken roof tiles for second time. I called Lovell and complained why this happens so often and ask them to replace it. Their answer was that I am out of 2 years builder warranty, and I supposed to do it myself. I have managed to get some tiles from their contractor. I had a roofer coming to change it but unfortunately, he couldn’t do it. The tiles were the wrong ones, not the same contractor brought to me and not the same one stated in my pre-purchased documentation. He told me that there are different tiles, not the same as on my roof. Lovell did not just know what roof tiles are on my roof, they even logged wrong ones in our house documentation. While he was on a roof, he spotted couple more broken tiles. I went to the loft to check if there was any leak and at my surprise, I did find a leak. I could see there is a visible leak coming alongside the wall. It was caused by screw tearing felt and allowing water coming in a loft. This is something which could be noticed at the first place building it. So obvious human neglect or error. I did go back to Lovell and they told me to contact NHBC which I did. And of course, NHBC would not cover that cost after inspecting because it is less then their estimated cost. For them it is less but for me a lot to cover from my pocket.Lovell have got their “well earned” money and so pleased they do not have any responsibilities after 2 years although they have so many complains and proves that houses have being poorly build, most of problems being human errors.So, their above statement is completely false and do not take it for right.
