He did a great job communicating with us and the vendors and we always knew where we stood throughout the process. During the conveyancing process, the team excelled at liaising with all parties in the chain and Guy was instrumental in ensuring successful completion before Christmas. However, the exchange and completion dates were not lined up appropriately and we were left in temporary accommodation with a young family. Our position of negotiation was weakened in a few instances and this did not help our situation. While I recommend Sam and Stuart, there are learnings here that I relayed directly and hope will inform the sales process going forward.

Avoid this agency if you value your deposit. The end-of-tenancy process was is a nightmare. They submitted a fraudulent invoice as evidence in a TDS deposit dispute. I contacted the company named on the invoice directly and they confirmed in writing they had never attended the property and the invoice number belonged to a completely different property for a job dated 7 months ago. I reported them for fraud.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience renting through Winkworth. When I moved into my new flat, the agent failed to provide me with the gas card/key. I moved here from the US so I did not know that was something that I needed. As a result, my electricity was cut off for almost three days during my very first weekend in the property. I had no light, no heating, and no hot water for close to 72 hours.
