GoogleWe recently worked with Metropole Properties on the purchase of our apartment, and while there were positives, the overall experience left much to be desired.
To start, Jessy deserves recognition for her professionalism. She was always responsive, approachable, and ready to address our questions. Her communication was a strong point throughout the process, and we felt she was genuinely trying to assist us.
Unfortunately, the transaction itself was extremely frustrating due to significant delays caused by issues on the seller's side, none of which were related to us as buyers. Among the complications was a lease extension process that had been initiated in Spring 2024 but was only finalized very late in the transaction. Additionally, there were other issues on the seller's end that required prolonged resolution, further delaying the process. Despite repeated assurances that matters were progressing, we were never provided with a clear or reliable timeline for completion.
Originally, we expected to close the deal around mid-September and had left our previous rental property on 5 September, anticipating a smooth transition. Instead, the process dragged on until 4 December, leaving us in limbo for months without any compensation or meaningful resolution offered for the stress and disruption this caused.
As the sole point of contact between us and the seller, the agency should have done more to push for accountability and transparency from the seller. While Jessy did her best to support us, the overall handling of this situation by the agency fell short. There was little intervention to ensure the seller’s side met their obligations in a timely manner, nor were we provided with clear or consistent updates.
We hope Metropole reflects on this experience and takes steps to better manage transactions involving seller-related complications in the future. Buyers should not have to endure prolonged delays or vague timelines due to issues beyond their control, and agencies must be proactive in advocating for their clients and offering solutions when such situations arise.

We sincerely understand the frustrations you experienced throughout this transaction. It was one of the most complicated sales that we have dealt with lately. We appreciate the impact this had on your plans and can empathise with the stress and uncertainty it caused.
We agree that timely and transparent communication is critical, however, unfortunately, considering the nature of the legal matters involved and unexpected complications, it was not possible for Metropole Properties as sale agent to assist more in this regard, other than following up with different solicitors involved to make sure that things are progressing and keep you up to date with the situation. As you have mentioned, the main delay was due to the lease extension, and specifically its registration, thus, providing you with a clear timeline during the process was not possible.

In a slow and depressed market in late 2023 she found a first time buyer with an acceptable offer. What followed were months of slow communications between various parties and their solicitors which she handled with competence and professionalism. She kept us and the buyer up-to-date and followed up on every delay. I am sure that without her continued efforts one of us could have withdrawn from this transaction.
