GoogleWe first met Martins before the Christmas holidays - he showed us a flat that was almost perfect but we didn’t end up taking it. When we came back from the break, Martins followed up with us and said he had selected a few flats to show us. We really appreciated his pro-activity and the fact he persevered given our long list of requirements and inability to compromise :) Martins really understood what we were looking for and nudged us towards a flat we weren’t necessarily excited about at first, seeing it on the brochure. Turns out he was right to organise the viewing because it ended up being the perfect flat! Martins was really responsive and helpful during the contract negotiations and we are now really looking forward to the move. It was a real pleasure working together! GoogleGabrielle was BY FAR the best agent I've ever had the pleasure of working with and I could not stress that enough. Saying she was helpful would be an understatement. Not only did she find me an amazing property and helped me reach the best deal for it, but she was also kind enough to provide me with inside tips and extensive resources to help me get out of an awful property where I was being mistreated daily in her own time (which is, of course, far out of her job description). She made herself available at all times, answered every question on the spot, was very honest about the downsides of the properties she was presenting and she managed to secure a deal for my flat so good that I genuinely did not think was possible. I could not recommend working with her enough, after going through a horrific experience with another agency she definitely restored my faith in agents hahah, do yourself a favour and ask for her if you're looking for a flat in the area. Most recently, I have at long last purchased a flat and this has been in no small part thanks to Pierce who showed me the property in the first instance, for which I am beyond grateful for! I had an absolutely nightmarish experience with Chestertons. Their lack of professionalism and utter disregard for tenants' rights were shocking.Firstly, when I reached out to discuss the proposed deposit deductions, they simply ignored my emails, leaving me in the dark about their unjust claims.To make matters worse, my deposit was not even registered correctly. Despite their legal obligation to protect tenants' deposits, they failed to comply with the necessary regulations, leaving me with little recourse for my rights as a tenant.Their overall communication and responsiveness were abysmal, leaving me feeling undervalued and frustrated throughout the entire process.I strongly advise anyone considering renting from [Agency Name] to think twice. This has been, without a doubt, the worst property agency experience of my life, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone else.

I have been renting my property with Chestertons for the past 6 months. The contracting and referencing was smoothly organised. When I moved in, the property manager wasn’t very responsive and contractors didn’t appear in 4 months time. I am glad that the agency appointed a new property manager Shakil Khan who has been very responsive and is currently helping to organise all the maintenance works required. He has demonstrated a client oriented approach and professionalism.

I had an an-going problem with my tenants which was, potentially, heading towards a confrontation and possible legal action. Chesterton's Letting's Manager took control of the situation and resolved the problem in a patient and professional manner. I was relieved and delighted with the help he offered me as it was beyond my capabilities despite being a landlord for over 20 years.

quite literally the worst property management service you could wish for. We lived with mould in the flat for 6+ months despite us doing everything we could about it. We raised the point to the letting agent several times who just sent around their guys who said ‘don’t dry washing near the walls’ despite us never doing this. after sending a few people round, one switched on bloke finally realised there was a leak from the above flat. They refused to compensate us for damage to property, some of which was very expensive (bose headphones). When it came to getting our deposit back it was literally impossible. charging us for things that were in the inventory before as missing or broken, £100 for a set of two pillows that were in a cupboard upon arrival and for the whole year? please avoid at all costs, they have no interest in you and will bend over backwards for landlords
