My experience with Chestertons was absolutely shocking. On the move in day I picked up the keys and arrived at the flat with two removalists and their truck full of my things and furniture, only to walk into a building site. Chestertons had over 2 months of time to supervise the renovation works (they also managed the flat and they had absolutely no issue taking 6 months of rent upfront), but they are incredibly incompetent and they simply couldn’t care less. Works kept going for 2 months past the start of the tenancy date. For 2 months I had nowhere to stay and nowhere to store my stuff and furniture. I had to arrange storage and extremely expensive short term accommodation, which to this day still hasn’t been refunded to me by Chestertons/the landlord.Even after I moved in, for 5 months I had no hot water, and no one cared to fix it. It was winter and I had no hot water to shower. Also, the team is probably the most incompetent, rude and arrogant I came across in my whole life. If one is unable to speak to people in a polite way and has no basic manners then perhaps they shouldn’t have a client facing role - or any role at all. This agency is a total joke.

I rented with Chestertons for three years until the landlord decided to sell the property. Everything was managed by Chestertons rather than through the landlord and I had an excellent experience using Chestertons throughout my tenancy. I would love to commend Risida Geeganage who is the Property Manager. She is friendly, professional, very easy to deal with, has great communication and always responds quickly. Any queries or issues I had were immediately resolved. Thanks to Risida the renting process was very easy and stress free. Risida was also extremely kind and helpful after my tenancy ended and returning my initial deposit. I would also like to commend Prue Semba who helped me throughout my initial property search and has always been friendly, charismatic, professional and also goes above and beyond for her clients. Thank you Chestertons for the last three years. I would highly recommend using Chestertons in the future.

I have been impressed with the service of Stephen and his team right from our first interaction in approx 2009 when I was looking for a new property manager. I didn't chose Chestertons then due to their management fees being higher than the company I chose at the time.Stephen stayed in touch every year religously to see if I needed to review my property management. Eventually in approx 2019 that time came, and I went changed over to Chestertons. Their knowledge, efficiency, communication, and professionalism far surpasses any other company I've worked with in my 20+ years of property investment.The team are highly responsive in dealing with any issues, keep me informed, and I can honestly say, do a terrific job of managing my property.Even if the fees are a little bit higher, it's worth every penny. Amanda is able to wear many hats, and is an expert when it comes to managing the relationship between the tenant and the landlord. Aside from immense property experience, she uses empathy and genuinely cares about the customer experience and getting it right. They’re all efficient and supportive, and understanding of client needs. In particular, I’m always delighted to do business with Gary. Dealing with estate agents is never ideal but actually Shannon took us on a magic mystery tour of nice flats, was lovely and engaging all along and found us the place we have now moved into. No hard sell no BS just very personable and read what we were looking for. After a month of flat hunting and 25 visits we were pretty burned out, Shannon was a welcome relief. Louis Nafzger from the 44-48 Old Brompton Road branch was outstanding in helping me complete on a house I have just bought today! Louis was very attentive, neccessarily so since we had an ambitious completion date of around one month after our offer was accepted after a wee bidding war! This date was achieved largely because Louis was brilliant at communicating progress between the sellers and us on pretty much a daily basis. Thankyou Louis! You made a potentially difficult and stressful process so much smoother and easier! Chestertons are lucky to have you as a member of their staff! It also says alot for this branch and the real effectiveness and excellence of his managers in their ability to support Louis so he could excell in his role!

I rented a flat with this agency in 2021 and today was the day for one of the agents to make one of the annual visits. Anson Nyako was amazing! Professional but frendly and willing to answer my questions without hesitation and with a lot of patience and happy to help. I am comfortable knowing that now if I have a problem I will contact him through his email. Communication to arrange this visit was also impeccable. I see that agency standards are rising!! That is great! Because communication is key and Anson Nyako knows that very well!!
