Have been waiting since May to get some work organised in my flat. Since Richard Parkin took over there seems a sense of urgency and renewed quotes are now sensible and more favourable to me as the flat owner than previously. Five stars are specifically for Richard's help so far NOT a general judgement.

The estate agent I dealt with was so rude and repeatedly asked if I could afford the flat before even viewing the flat. He assumed I had no knowledge of the current renting market and was very condescending when I told him my price range. When I turned up to my viewing, he dismissed me and didn't introduce the flat at all. I 100% do NOT recommend this place to anyone.

I have been using chestertons for a while and they really have shown so much care and attention in helping to find the right property for me. They are a great team and unlike other estate agents talk to each other in different offices! They are helpful and really lovely to deal with!

Avoid using this company by all means -We lived in a property managed by Chesterton's for a year. In the time we lived with them, we reported issues with the accommodation in the first week of moving into the accommodation, they didn't sort this in the 9 months of us living there. They constantly sent someone out to 'price it up', but never once did someone come to fix anything. Things like not providing keys for the windows to open, bath panels and shower's hanging off the wall. We had 4 different property managers in this time as people kept leaving the company. The guy who came round to look at the property to price up the issues mentioned that the accommodation was that poorly put together that he couldn't believe it. After 9 months of getting tired of nothing being fixed, we decided we had to get out.Once we left, we were assured that we would not receive any cleaning charges if we used their registered cleaners. When handing over the keys, Andrew mentioned that the flat was cleaner than it was before we moved in. After using their cleaners, they still tried to take £160 for a cleaning charge. The individual who has been working on getting our deposit back has been everything but competent, we had to wait 2 months for our deposit to come back. It's gotten that bad that even the property owner has mentioned to us that she will never use Chesterton's again. I would love to leave a 0 star but for some reason that isn't possible.Considering we had nothing fixed in the time that we lived in the accommodation, we thought we'd be able to leave the flat. Instead we had to pay over £600 to leave early.I would avoid using this company at all costs, not only will you have nothing fixed, but they will also try to scam you out of most of your deposit.

GoogleSimply amazing and highly recommended! Cassie Tarn has been truly the best letting consultant I came across. Very helpful, professional, knowledgeable, extremely responsive, full of energy. Cassie went beyond my expectations with help that she provided to me to secure right property. Cassie straight away, after quick conversation, knew what I need and require without wasting my time and first property Cassie showed me I made successful offer and I’m really happy in my new home. Also she has helped me with the whole process and provided me with lots of good advice, she made me feel like I’m the most important customer, very personal approach. My property is managed by Chestertons and recently experienced very quick and professional response when couple of things needed to be fixed (big thank you to Kelly Gazzard 😊 for all your help).

We are renting our flat through Chestertons and the whole experience since we moved in has been shocking. We are constantly ignored when we report issues and have to chase all the time. We have 2 ongoing issues one that was reported 3/4 months ago. We were told that someone called Fiona left and have been dealing with someone new who is even worse. No communication happens internally so when people are on holiday you have to start the process all over again. Would never ever go through Chestertons again

Hi please be careful of this company and their landlords as work has been carried out at a flat but the landlord and company are refusing to pay. Only £700 but the don’t seem to be sorry or to be willing to pay as they are not replying to calls or texts please other people be careful

I'm an landlord and I have recently signed a new contract with Chestertons for a new tenant. The starting date is set for 25th June, however, Chestertons only informed me when I asked them on 26th June, that the contract didn't commence because they need me to sign some other documents. Therefore, they had to push the start date to 29th June. I had to chase Chestertons all the time. They only arranged me the documents for me to sign on 29th June at 6pm! Both me and the tenants were stressed out on the day. But finally we got all the documents signed. Chestertons pushed the start date by 4 days which is a financial loss for me. And I only found out the contract didn't start because I chased them for landlord statement. I wouldn't recommend Chestertons as your property manager.
