I made an offer on a property and spent over a week chasing for an update. The agent kept promising to call back "tomorrow" but never did, or gave poor excuses, either saying he was still chasing the landlord or that his manager was dealing with it. When I tried to speak to the manager, she conveniently avoided my calls and voicemails. After all the delays and excuses, I finally found out my offer was rejected, something they could have told me days ago. From day one, something felt off, and I still don’t know the real reason. However, better honesty and communication would have made a difference. It’s unheard of for an offer to take seven days just to be rejected. Completely unprofessional and a waste of time. If you're looking for an estate agent that actually communicates, I’d suggest going elsewhere.

I have always received a reliable and good service.

I have always received a good service from from Chestertons. They are accurate, very user friendly and helpful. They are also very reliable and pleasant to deal with. The only reason we are not using them in the immediate future is that we are selling the property that they managed. If they were in Leeds where we are buying I would not even consider anybody else. We’re had a very good experience throughout our relationship with Chestertons.

First time I leave a bad review.. horrible!

First time I leave a bad review at a business but we are shocked at the level of service. We had made an offer for a family home of 5bedrooms and it was accepted by the landlord among other offers as he liked our profile (Respected professionals). 30 min later at 8pm we thanked the agent Milan for the news and we asked two questions by email. Literally the next day at 9am Milan called us to tell us that it is red flag that we have not yet registered at the website (without having responded to our email with our questions)then him and his manager Eleonore rushed us to wire the money immediately. We only had requested to view the property a second time as we only viewed it for 10 minutes and potentially to speak to previous tenants which was in our initial offer. We have rented properties for many years and we have excellent references, we were never treated with such disrespect. Even after we communicated our concerns, they did not apologise, tried to turn this around and say that they didn't respond to our email because it was late at night, and still had the audacity to call us at 9am to claim we are the red flag. We ended up pulling our offer as we wouldn't want the property to be managed by them. Really a shame as we loved the house!Be aware as a tenant but also a landlord!

Chestertons Fulham misrepresented my…

Chestertons Fulham misrepresented my property for client who was rented from abroad which leaded him to end contract early. They never helped me to deal with this difficult situation. They have never replied my formal complaint. Further they promised to find for me another tenant, however they removed my property from advertisement without informing me, simply to punish me for complaining. I wouldn’t recommend this agency, poor management, no complaint handling. They taking money and go, If there is a problem they simply ignoring you. Totally disorganised, left hand doesn’t know what right hand doing.What is interesting, that now after that review I received email from customer service that they submitted my complaint to the same director of Fulham office who I complaint about to deal with my complaint. This is really a joke! Chestertons head management management simply doesn’t care.

I had an absolutely nightmarish experience with Chestertons. Their lack of professionalism and utter disregard for tenants' rights were shocking.Firstly, when I reached out to discuss the proposed deposit deductions, they simply ignored my emails, leaving me in the dark about their unjust claims.To make matters worse, my deposit was not even registered correctly. Despite their legal obligation to protect tenants' deposits, they failed to comply with the necessary regulations, leaving me with little recourse for my rights as a tenant.Their overall communication and responsiveness were abysmal, leaving me feeling undervalued and frustrated throughout the entire process.I strongly advise anyone considering renting from [Agency Name] to think twice. This has been, without a doubt, the worst property agency experience of my life, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone else.

New property manager Shakil Khan stepped in to resolve the issues and proved to be helpful

I have been renting my property with Chestertons for the past 6 months. The contracting and referencing was smoothly organised. When I moved in, the property manager wasn’t very responsive and contractors didn’t appear in 4 months time. I am glad that the agency appointed a new property manager Shakil Khan who has been very responsive and is currently helping to organise all the maintenance works required. He has demonstrated a client oriented approach and professionalism.

Resolution Problem with Tenants

I had an an-going problem with my tenants which was, potentially, heading towards a confrontation and possible legal action. Chesterton's Letting's Manager took control of the situation and resolved the problem in a patient and professional manner. I was relieved and delighted with the help he offered me as it was beyond my capabilities despite being a landlord for over 20 years.
