I had a valuation with Jack in February which was really useful, and then he was good at assisting when I was ready to get my flat on the market. Everything went smoothly, although I probably would have liked a little more communication and information at the start as selling was a new experience for me. The portal worked well, I was able to get regular updates on viewings that way, and to see what interest there was for the property. Doing the viewings myself was quite tiring and time consuming, but had the advantage that viewers could ask me questions all about the flat that I could answer then and there. Rachel was helpful in getting the sale over the line. Her experience gave me confidence in setting a closing date within a week of the flat going on the market, and it went well with the number and value of the offers I received. All in all a very positive experience.

This company are the perfect combination of total professionals coupled with niceness. A big thanks to Sophie and her colleagues who made our whole buyer journey such a lovely experience. had a poor experience where I’d booked a viewing, showed up, rung the doorbell and was unable to get into the property or reach the company by phone for around 20 minutes, at which point i gave up and left. on the coming monday, i was told they were “definitely in the property” and that the agents can’t be contacted because they are not given business phones, making them impossible to reach. I didn’t receive any kind of apology from them for wasting my time, which was disrespectful.

Working with Clyde Property Sales has been an outstanding experience from start to finish. I originally chose to work with another agency on the basis of the number of For Sale signs they had in my area assuming they were the ‘go-to’ for my particular property type and postcode. Big mistake! My property sat with them for over 8 weeks, I had to constantly push them to think outside the box with their marketing strategy, and ultimately felt I was given poor advice about how to achieve a successful sale. My experience with Clyde was night and day compared to this. Clyde were engaged and responsive, gave me some excellent advice about how to get things back on track, have a first class approach to marketing (top notch photography and videography, personalised property overviews, excellent social media following etc.), have a fantastic portal to keep you up to date in real-time about what’s happening with viewings and feedback, and are a committed, lovely bunch of people to deal with. You genuinely feel they care as much about a successful outcome as you do. I achieved a sale within 10 days of working with the team, far in excess of the offers I was receiving with the other agency. I would have no hesitation in recommending Clyde to anyone selling their property and am only sorry I didn’t go straight to them in the first place. After the recent sale of my flat I would highly recommend Clyde Property (Byres Road). The time from first contacting them, to getting the property on the market and ultimately selling the flat was very quick and everyone involved extremely helpful. The walk through video is a great additional service that not all estate agents provide. It actually made me want to put a bid in on my own flat, it made it look that good, ha. The sellers portal on the website is a great way to see how many viewing you have and if any feedback or interest has been made. The sale of my property - in an affluent, much-sought-after neighbourhood in Glasgow’s West End - turned out to be far more protracted than it should have been. This was almost entirely a result of the agent’s insistence on focusing on what turned out to be a phantom buyer he had encountered in the street rather than go through the established channels of putting the property on the market with a view to attracting interested - and genuine - bidders. The result was that a property which I had been told would be sold within 10 days of being put up for sale will have stood unoccupied for four-and-a-half months between being vacated by a previous tenant and a new owner (not the bidder initially wooed by the agent) moving in. This long interregnum has cost me as a selling owner thousands of pounds in council tax, additional factor’s cost liabilities, and lawyer’s costs for a deal that was ultimately not concluded. In conclusion, I would say that this is an episode where Clyde Property’s selling agents should urgently review their procedures and resolve to sticking to established rules, specifically avoiding off-the-books deals that involve avoiding putting properties on the market in the established manner. In this case, the attractions to the agent in doing so were obvious; the prospect of earning commission money for doing less work. But the result was a non-sale that ended up wasting time and burdening a client with significant additional costs - and leaving Clyde Property with a dissatisfied customer. All in all, a less than satisfactory outcome.
