Matthew Anthony Estate Agency is a reliable and commendable partner and a friend. After 3 months of a frustrated process of securing an accommodation for my relocation from Scotland to England, with so many disappointments. My dream came true with a package and my dream accommodation. The process was smooth, the staff very welcoming, lovely and helpful. Mathew Anthony and his staff have been friendly, helpful and responsive to us when we have had dealings with them moving from London to Worthing. Honest, supportive and efficient

Matt was very helpful throughout the sale of my flat. He gave me honest advice without the 'estate agent spin'. He was very supportive in letting me go at my pace and was never pushy. Matt was always very respectful of my needs, he always explained things very clearly and in a non-patronizing way. I felt very looked after by Matt and the sale went through very efficiently. I would not hesitate in recommending Matt Anthony to any of my friends or wider circles.

With many 'cheaper options' online for lettings, it was a tough decision on where to go but I am over the moon I chose the guys at Matthew Anthony. From the first meeting they were transparent, honest and as helpful as could be, guiding me on everything I needed. The photos were of a professional level, and they got me a tenant within 3 hours of the flat going live. They then guided me on all I needed to have put in place, and are at the end of the phone whenever I need them. I have been going through a very difficult time in my life. And found myself needing to find somewhere appropriate for me to live in a relatively short time. Ian in particular has made it so easy and quick. I can not recommend him enough. Even after moving in I wanted to look at getting a pet within 12 hours had my answer and all necessary paperwork filled in. Previous experience with other letting agents is once the place is filled they just want your rent. And do not care about you whereas everything post moving in they have responded almost immediately and taken care of me. We found Matt and the team really great to work with for the sale of the house. At all times they were they were professional and showed compassion towards us given the circumstances of this executor sale. Awful estate agency, non existent communication & terrible customer service throughout my 12 month tenancy. Tried to keep my full deposit and were proven wrong after independent review by TDS. Would not trust these cowboys.

Hi Alex, Thanks for your review. We appreciate everyone is entitled to their opinion, but they should still be factually correct and unfortunately yours is not. At the beginning of your tenancy you paid a security deposit of £1,153 which was registered with the TDS. At the end of your tenancy the sum of £753 was returned to you with no dispute, so your claim that we tried to keep your full deposit is completely false. You agreed that you had not adequately cleaned the property and offered the sum of £100 for cleaning costs, so it was only the remaining balance of £300 which was retained by the TDS awaiting the outcome of their independent review. I’m sure you’ll agree that just over 25% of your deposit being held awaiting a review is a long way from your full deposit being kept! The Alternative Dispute Resolution Service is in place for scenarios just like these so that landlords and tenants (and please remember it is the landlord who is asking us to make the claim on their behalf) can receive free adjudication without the cost and stress of going to court. Whilst it does take the TDS a couple of months to review each case, the Adjudicator found in your favour and the remaining £300 was returned to you. In summary, all but £100 (which you agreed the landlord could have) of your deposit was returned to you after a free independent review, In my opinion, and based on the facts of your tenancy, these are hardly the actions of ‘cowboys’. I wish you all the best in your new home. Matt
