I called the agent today morning about…
I called the agent today morning about the property enquiry., I checked the property consists of electric stove or gas stove? He said electric and I said unfortunately not interested with electric. As soon as agent came to know about my disinterest he disconnects the call in between the call. So rude, very very rude agent in lettings team. So, I would just thought of share my experience in google reviews & trust pilot.

After a sale falling through and a handful of potential buyers, Lawrence, Sam and George saved the day with the sale of my property! Providing good communication and a trustworthy opinion on potential buyers I was able to not only sell but also get full asking price for my property. Great and professional service! Enjoy the beers boys!
Hi Ryan, Thank you for leaving a five star review. It has been a pleasure helping you find the right buyer for your property and please do let us know if you require our assistance in the future. Take Care.

Need professional training
When we purchased our home the local branch were pro active, quick to respond couldn't fault them. So 16 months later with Covid restrictions eased meant we could look in the areas we really wanted to be , so we put it back in their hands. New Branch manager and team were Usless, took two weeks to get our property details done in such a way that wasn't the generic information they were attaching to properties. We visited the office several times over the first month only to find our property wasn't in the window. They promised it would be done and we walked passed daily and it wasn't. When approached by this it was done Infront of us with just a sorry. 8 of the twelve viewings they arranged were cancelled, two viewings weren't even what the potential buyer was looking for. Calls wouldn't be returned, notes weren't attached to their file for our property. Would not recommend them even if they were doing it for free I would recommend you use someone else.

Such helpful, kind and knowledgeable staff. Courtney and Johnny at the Fakenham branch so amazing. Can't fault their professionalism.

Sold my house in town. Overall a good experience, some issues with communications until Marina took over and then it was smooth sailing with good communications and advice !
Thank you for your feedback and kind comments! Best wishes, Scott @ Customer Care

Incompetence
Incompetence. Calling us up constantly regarding a rental agreement for a property that we SOLD through the same branch, FOUR YEARS AGO. This was a straight house sale, with no mention of rent, house owner to house owner. This is inspite of being told we don't own the property anymore and to take us off their database! Wouldn't have bothered leaving a bad review, but they've just woken me up after a night shift, which they wouldn't have done if they'd done their job right the first time!!!!

Great service with a huge seriousness!
It's a situation where you don't find yourself in very often and you have nowhere to learn even if you try to find information from friends beforehand. This is where beautiful people come in and are willing to help you even if they are paid to do so. The difference here at William H Brown is that you are greeted with same seriousness and professionalism every single time.I say this because more than once I got bogged down in the details and I kept insisting on the phone about this and I was met with the same interest and calmness from Rachel.I highly recommend the professionalism of Rachel, Jonah and Jack at William H Brown, Stevenage Branch.

1 star only because you cannot comment…
1 star only because you cannot comment without doing so.I have a rent property next to me property managed by them and William H Brown of Bridge Street, Northampton, Very poorly managed should I say.Well we a had a illegal HMO before which they did very little about but finally the people moved out NO thanks to William H Brown, no yet again I have been reporting the same thing again now for over 12 months and still they don't care.I was told by the property manager this time last year it was a Couple and 2 Kids, well from August 21 until September 22 the lady and kids were not here the lady was here for around 6 weeks in that past year, all the other times it's been men 5,6, sometimes even 7 most have white vans.Well as it stands now there (2 women) (2kids) and (3men) in a house that I was told was (2 adults man and woman and 2)

AVOID AT ALL (VERY HIGH) COSTS
AVOID AT ALL (VERY HIGH) COSTS! I honestly can’t stress enough how incompetent 98% of the staff are that work for this company. They are ignorant, don’t follow through on anything and very rude. We put our house up for sale in May after been told not to use William H Brown (should have listened to the majority) I spoke in depth about what we had heard and was assured that it was all lies and just competition for business and not true. So silly old me trusted them and put our house up for sale. That’s where the lies and incompetence started. Firstly they marketed our house wrong and then lied about how many people they had interest from. Even tho we said we wanted the viewings done by them it never happened I had to do all my viewings myself as they only have someone available to do the viewings on a Tuesdays during working hours! Who views a house at these times????? NO ONE! Evenings and weekends are when most people want to view. Then came the horrendous solicitor recommendations and I refused to use them and stressed that I wouldn’t use them and they are shocking and hold everything up so what did they do. Put our first time buyers with them who didn’t know what to expect from a competent solicitor. Knowing that I stressed I wouldn’t have any dealings with them why would they put my buyers on to them? Oh I know why as they would get commission. That’s all they care about getting the money and getting you out the door. We had so many calls back and forth with the agents and never once did any of them get followed up until I spoke with the branch manager. The branch manager then went on holiday and we was back at square one. Only when I threatened to pull out of the sale was anything done and followed through. We had a dedicated (read the word dedicated loosely) sales progresser who was meant to be the point of call between the solicitors and the buyer. Yeah when she was in. Any conversation with her was like you was inconveniencing her to do her job. You pay a lot of money for this service so expect some kind of service and sadly the service we got was a very bad service. I’d have been better off putting a sign up on my gate and selling it myself least I’d not have been constantly stressed!

Worst Estate Agents Ever !!!
I recently bought a property through William H Brown, Adam Leadley, who was my first port of contact started off okay but then showed his true colours and just how lazy he really is. He did not return any of the many emails I sent him or return any calls or messages left and just basically ignored me. Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful behaviour. An associate of Adam contacted me to pick up the keys even though I left a message requesting Adam to call me back as it was urgent. I would never use this Estate Agents ever again and would strongly recommend that you look elsewhere.

I've been a "customer" of William H…
I've been a "customer" of William H Brown now for almost 10 years. During which time I've purchased a house with them, attempted to sell one (unsuccessfully I would add) and remortgaged a couple of times. However, my latest endeavour with them will be my last. Apparently when a company waives a "lifetime" fee in 2013 and makes no mention of this during transactions in 2015 and 2021, they reserve the right to charge it in 2022. In short, I guess times are tough and making a commission from the mortgage provider and an admin fee isn't enough? So instead, despite our 10 year relationship clearly holding little worth (I'd have gone back to them in the future for remortgages and hopefully next year a house move), we will part ways and I'll have to consider it a lesson learnt.Update: complaint was upheld, fees refunded plus compensation of £200.

A severe lack of communication ability
I now know why this estate agent has such a poor reputation. As a result of living a good distance from her, we have been searching for a retirement property near our daughter for some time and chanced upon one in a very good location. We e-mailed the office that advertised the property with a few pertinent questions as we would find a return journey on the off chance of being able to get the answers and to gain a viewing almost impossible in a reasonable timeframe. It would appear that others who have had dealings with this company are totally correct as the request has been totally ignored without even an apparent willingness to acknowledge receipt let alone be a little proactive.I would advise any pensioner considering using this Estate Agent to seriously consider whether they would be able to elicit any response let alone information from them.Extremely poor service for both the seller and any prospectve buyer.

Absolutely diabolical
Absolutely diabolical. Not very good property management what so ever. The store to the property management is really bad communication. Does not reply to emails. Constant ignorance and even when a complaint was raised with enough evidence to prove they were not managing my property and ignoring my emails, the complaints team were even very rude. They changed my tenancy contract from fully managed to rent collect without consent. Didn’t keep up with inspections on the house during my short time on fully managed. Took weeks to get replies for issues with my tenants and faults. Didn’t chase up when the tenant was breaking the tenancy agreement. I don’t know what they did when managing my property but it wasn’t what my new estate agents does which on paper is suppose to be the same thing. They charge for all sorts of fees that no other lettings agency does! Would not recommend at all! The only good experience I had was with the deposits department and accounts departments. Very friendly and helpful! I’m now with a different lettings agency and they work above and beyond for their landlords and tenants!

Tenant Find - Went above and beyond!
I've been dealing with Ethan Smith in order to find tenants for one of my properties. From start to finish, he was energetic and tenacious. Appropriate tenants were sourced quickly and he "pulled out all the stops" in order to sort out a last minute emergency that I encountered, despite it not being of his making. I've not used WH Brown before, but if this experience is anything to go by, I will in the future.

If your looking for illegal HMO WilliamHBrown with Sequence Homes Bridge Street Northampton
Ifyour looking for illegal HMO this is the company you want, because I have told them about one next door to me and they don't give a S- -t and this is not the first time this as happened this is the second time so they don't learn as long as they get there money, one of the couple that should live there has only been here for 3 weeks in what will be 1 year this weekend. And she's due again early August sometime because some of the man and vans have moved on for what could be a week or two from past experiences. And yesterday blocked me for telling them this on social media because they don't like the truth, this is the Bridge Street branch Northampton town, and the so called manager of this branch put the phone down on me and told me I didn't know what I was talking about. There's wooden pallets everywhere even use one as a door step out the front and also a shopping trolley out there as well which has been there for a year and they fill that with crap, the back garden looks like a homeless area with drink cans everywhere.

Disgusting customer service
Disgusting customer service, all talk no action, took advantage if an 80 year old couple to tie them into a contract, now to be told another 28 days notice on top of that is required!!!! Will NEVER ever recommend this agent to any body! This is the Ware branch! Forever breaching their contract! Have got in touch with solicitors and now have an amazing court case against them! They’ve destroyed my grandparents future because of this contract!

Made on offer on a house they had
Made on offer on a house they had. 4 days later finally got a letter confirmation. Didn’t hear nothing back for another 4 days asking if we would increase it. Offered 5k more. 2 days later he apparently rejected our offer and is going with another seller. From what we was told on the phone they have another offer but their house isn’t sold. But had now sold. I’m guessing this agent was delaying us as much as possible so they could sell that house and make double commission. We’ve made another higher offer and shock they are ignoring us and not forwarding our offer

Terrible experience
W.H. Brown. Dovercourt Branch. Terrible experience. Signed up for 20 weeks. I had my doubts prior to signing as no contact from them. I phoned and asked if they really wanted to sell my house as poor customer care. They said yes. I had doubts again as once signed i then waited 3 weeks for photos to be taken and go online. I asked why it took that long and they said 'No Idea'. Had one phone call from WH in 16 weeks. No feedback from any calls. Nothing. Never replied to emails for days. Luckily im in no rush to move. All i wanted was to be kept updated and i got nothing. I have taken my property off the market now and once contract ends will think hard about where I will go.Ive totally wasted 20 weeks as they were not bothered in selling my property and guess its because its over a certain higher price.Never would recommend.
