Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. We would like to clarify a few factual points for those reading this review. Carnegie Estate Agents is not a one-person business; we are a small team of four involved in sales, viewings and progression. Our valuation, provided in December 2022, was £455,000, £465,000, based on comparable evidence available at that time. The property was later marketed at a higher figure at the seller’s request. In August 2023 an initial offer of £495,000 was received. As this was already significantly above our valuation range, we advised that it represented a strong position in the prevailing market. Further discussions then took place with the buyer, resulting in an increased offer of £510,000, close to the asking price. With regard to confidentiality, we take this extremely seriously. We are not aware of any confidential information being disclosed without authority, and no specific example has been raised with us to investigate. We recognise that selling a property during a separation can be particularly challenging. We always aim to act professionally and in the best interests of our clients, and we’re genuinely sorry that this was not how the experience felt in this instance.

GoogleExperience was awful, estate agent was rude, house viewing was a couple of minutes if that, absolutely disgusting tone and horrible choice of words over the phone. So disappointed, looks so bad on their reputation.

GoogleHad a property viewing booked for the 3rd October which was cancelled by the estate agents on the day with only 2 hours notice despite several confirmation texts - we had re-arranged work plans to attend and this was cancelled with very short notice. Another viewing was arranged for 2 days later, only to be rung on the day and say the property was no longer available. Poor communication - always very last minute. Will not use them in future.

We moved the appointment on Wednesday as something came up and unfortunately it was not communicated to the member of staff who made the other appointment for the person who took it that we had messed you about. GoogleReviewing as a customer of Carnegie Estate Agents - I have both rented my property and sold it through this company. By far the best experience I have had with an agent full stop. When renting the property they have been scrupulously fair to both sides and have always rented the property successfully over a period of 20+ years. On the sale side they found a buyer quickly, showed the property well and the sale went through exceedingly quickly, despite on ebuyer pulling out. Their speed of response and professionalism is highly recommended.
