GoogleWe’ve just completed on our house, which we’ve rented out for the past few years through Halls Welshpool. During that time, we’ve faced a few ups and downs and had a real mix of tenants, but every time an issue came up, Ceri was straight on it. She went above and beyond every time, always contactable, friendly, and helpful.
As a first-time landlord, I had no idea what I was doing at the start, but Ceri guided us through everything, including a landlord’s worst nightmare when a tenant stopped paying rent. She was proactive in letting us know if anything was wrong with the property, liaised between us and the tenants to make sure issues were resolved quickly, and always gave us the option to handle things ourselves to avoid unexpected costs.
I honestly can’t recommend Halls Welshpool, and especially Ceri, highly enough. If we ever buy another property in the area, I’d 100% go straight back to her.

Had the good fortune to meet Chris Gill from Halls and the difference in approach was almost tangible. Switched to Halls over the Christmas period, property went live on 6th Jan and offer received and accepted on 13th. The offer was lower than the asking price but I would have accepted the same offer from an intorduction from the 1st agent if one had been forthcoming so no difference there. Very smooth process, great communication and supportive team. Highly recommend

GooglePretty poor communication skills from this estate agents. We're doing the difficult thing of moving over 100 miles from our home town, and we drove 6 hours to view and immediately showed our interest in the property. Submitted our detailed application, ready to put the deposit down, we were told it would take about a week to hear from them but we had absolutely no communication. Moving forward 4 weeks later still no contact at all so i've contacted them again, they've told us now the property has been taken off the market as the landlords daughter is moving in?! So for a whole month we've been waiting, bearing in mind they've taken our personal Bank statements, work details, home details etc etc, with Absolutely 0 Communication.
Safe to say we will NOT be using Halls to complete our moving process. Reliability and communication in this business is key, and not rocket science! I wouldn't recommend at all if you're doing a long distance move.

GoogleBooked a viewing & arranged day off work to attend. Estate agent didn’t arrive. When I called Halls to ask where the agent was, she was ‘running behind’ (actually just leaving the office, they finally admitted when I asked how far away she was).
Waited another 20 minutes, they called again to say they now weren’t coming at all.
Vendor was not even aware there was supposed to be a viewing.
No admitting from Halls that they had clearly made an error, only offered to reschedule.

GoogleCalled to arrange a viewing for a property, highly unprofessional on the phone. Having a conversation with colleagues while I was on the phone, not listening to the questions I was asking because the estate agent was too busy listening to what her colleagues were saying.
If that’s how they treat potential customers I would hate to think how they treat the tenants of the properties they manage.
Subsequently cancelled viewing and will not be dealing with in the future, terrible customer service skills.

GoogleI used Halls assuming a level of professionalism, I was wrong: I ended up with landlords that weren't licensed, the property had never been registered as a rental property & there were issues with the property. They hold you in such contempt when you complain that they do not even bother to sign or give a name as to who sends the response letter.
