Short-term rental of property

Hamptons managed a 12-month rental of my property whilst I was abroad. From the first meeting with Andrew who visited my property intially, it was a pleasure dealing with them. They were clear, prompt to reply to questions and very helpful on the whole process which put my mind at rest - especially as I was not going to be in the country!The daily management with Minneaux and then Natalie could not have been better and nothing was too much trouble.I thank them for their professional attitude and helpful manner and would recommend their service without hesitation.

Terrible

Sometimes beautiful flats or houses are in the hands of terrible agents; be careful! As tenants, they only come to you when they need you to do something. You can hardly contact any of them when you are looking for help.The renting agent ghosted after all documentation was done, leaving me a flat with much to fix. When moving out, they were supposed to contact me in advance for at least 24 hours, but most did not. They told me the people I hired for end-of-tenancy cleaning were not professionals (because I wasn't using one of their business partners) and had the inventory clerk go in before the cleaning was done; they allowed people to move around your items when they were doing the viewing.

We have been tenants in a flat managed by Hamptons and have been very happy with the service that they - Ellie Marsters in particular - have provided thus far. Ellie is very responsive, well-organized and professional. Worth saying that we have not gotten to the deposit withdrawal phase, which several reviews complain about. But, so far, so good.

Having worked for Hamptons in the past, they were our natural choice when it came to putting our house on the market. Everyone in Simon’s team came to view the property so that, when it came to discussing our house, they all knew exactly what they were talking about and could answer any relevant questions. Hamptons employ a very professional group of people who guided us through both our sale and subsequent purchase. Particular thanks to Jake for his regular phone calls so we were constantly kept up to date with progress and any issues could be dealt with at a very early stage. We would definitely recommend them.

We have just exchanged contracts on a house that Hamptons in Godalming were selling - as buyer, we were very impressed with their service. When I called to arrange viewings they were responsive and available, I like that they used email and texts to stay in contact, they got our offer agreed quickly and then worked hard to keep the transaction going through various very tricky hurdles we had to overcome. If/when we come to sell our lovely new house, I would look to use them as I think they represented their client seller very well and looked after his interests (by regularly chasing our estate agents and those in the lower chain for example), but as a buyer they were also excellent to deal with. Recommend Stuart Pavey in particular whom we dealt with mostly, but all of the team we have dealt with were very good.

We have just exchanged! I have been really impressed with the all the Hamptons team, particularly Simon and Jake. Simon valued our house and Hamptons sold it within 5 days of being marketed. Simon also guided us successfully on our purchase. Jake was very involved with our purchase and made it easy for us to visit the property on numerous occasions. Jake was exceptionally good at keeping us informed during the process leading up to exchange. Both were polite, patient, efficient and good natured at all times. I would highly recommend this Godalming team - thank you very much.

After my previous experiences of selling my houses, I was not exactly filled with enthusiasm when the time came to try and sell once again. Then I discovered the perfect solution, “Hamptons International” from the very first phone call I was to experience the very best in property knowledge, experience and customer service. Working with Hamptons International Godalming was a pleasure, from initial valuation (spot on) the marketing (very slick and stylish) viewing’s (all booked in clusters to minimize disruption, all were accompanied by experienced, helpful and enthusiastic staff) - it quite simply is flawless. Well the proof is in the pudding (or sale) as they say - My house sold for the full asking price in 3 days! I exchanged in a month. The team at Godalming kept me informed every step of the way, I didn’t have to make a single “chase” phone call. Yes, they are utterly professional, but they are also warm, friendly and very understanding to the needs of the seller. Maybe one day all “Estate Agents / Negotiators” will be like Hamptons International, somehow I cant see that happening! Hamptons International are always going to that notch above!

Having been searching for a property for four years we were delighted when Hamptons emailed us the details for our perfect property. They seem to be the only agents out there that actually listen to your requirements and had the patience to keep searching for us. Stuart Pavey was professional and a delight to deal with and based on our previous bad luck with purchasing property was extremely sensitive to our situation. We are delighted to be completing in just over a month and they could not have been more helpful. Took fees and ran

Hamptons successfully one time rented out our thames riverside home near Windsor. However, once they had their money, the service disappeared. The after sales team is very junior, inexperienced and not able to manage the tenants they place into the high cost home. Our house and furniture was damaged, a deposit refund was due, but Hamptons totally failed to get my damages paid and effectively ran away. Steer clear would be my advice.

Endless spamming after just one viewing

I’ve booked one viewing with Hamptons and have been spammed ever since. I never signed up for their mailing list, and have repeatedyl unsubscribed but keep receiving their mails. I have even emailed them to request that they remove my details from their data base, and I’ve called, but I simply receive no response or actions. I will be reporting them as this is a GDPR violation.

Hamptons is a friendly and helpful estate agency. I am renting an appartment from them. The post rental support and exceptional. Each time there is a problem with the place, it gets attended to super quickly.
