For our first home purchase, we have had an awful experience that has ruined the joy of buying a house. We have been shamed by Halton Kelly for being of “high risk” as a 95% mortgage lender and without them knowing what we look like, yes you read that correctly, what we look like??. How is this even an issue? We dealt with a few people in the office who seemed hesitant to assist us due to the advice and direction of the owner (Simon Halton Kelly). Simon was very rude, obnoxious and behaved like he was the homeowner without any people skills or consideration if it affected his profit. He made decisions for the vender without their knowledge or permission, bully tactics to use their assigned mortgage advisor and solicitor as all the others are “too slow”, and lying to the sellers and buyers to make sure he gets the highest profit. The house was over priced by Halton Kelly, and was evaluated twice at the same price (one being our mortgage lender) by £15000. So many processes and guidelines have been broken here with the FCA, who are very much aware of what has been going on. We have decided to pull out of the sale due to the humiliation and behaviour of their owner (Simon) and his refusal to allow negotiation when they over priced said property. Luckily the home owner is fully aware and also just as upset with the whole process and delays. We have been discriminated against based on our financial status and appearance, not the fact our mortgage for said property was accepted. We have had no communication, and been left in the dark by Halton Kelly…please bear this in mind as a buyer or seller. As Simon’s bully tactics can cause financial stress and doubt, which is unacceptable.

Fantastic is all I can say to describe my experience with Halton Kelly, went into the office to book a visit on a home, unfortunately the seller then removed it from the market after a conversation with Chris about what I was looking for Chris rang about a home that was coming into the market after a viewing we put an offer in and it was all accepted with 2 days! During the process Chris was updating us with all the updates from the sellers side of things and after 16 weeks we are now in our first home! If you have a property to sell in Warrington, especially the West side of the town and you don’t have the time and inclination to be messed around by dreamers and time wasters, then you need to speak to Simon Kelly.
