Exceptional service from beginning to end We cannot recommend Adrian Johnston and EweMove Wapping highly enough. Adrian has looked after our property for the past two years, initially through the letting process and subsequently through its sale. Throughout that entire period, his professionalism, persistence and personal commitment have been exceptional. The letting was far from straightforward. Three prospective lets fell through, but Adrian remained completely focused, eventually securing an excellent tenant while also achieving the maximum rental value for the property. His involvement did not end when the tenancy agreement was signed: he continued to support both us and the tenant, dealing promptly and pragmatically with the inevitable issues that arose during the tenancy and making the whole experience remarkably straightforward for us as landlords. When we subsequently decided to sell, Adrian transitioned seamlessly from managing the property to handling the sale. Again, the process presented its share of challenges: navigating the requirements surrounding tenant protection and vacant possession, managing periods of hesitation from the buyer, and ultimately securing the transaction in what had become a distinctly soft London property market. Just as he had done with the letting, Adrian remained focused on value throughout, using his knowledge of the Wapping market and his negotiating skills to achieve the best possible sale value in the prevailing market conditions. What impressed us most throughout was the genuinely personal nature of Adrian’s service. He knew the property, the tenant, the buyer and every aspect of the transaction. We never felt that we were being passed from one person or department to another. He was consistently available, responsive and flexible, and when difficulties arose he focused on finding a solution rather than simply reporting the problem. EweMove describes its model as providing clients with a dedicated personal agent and exceptional service throughout the entire property journey. In our experience, Adrian is an outstanding example of exactly what that promise should mean in practice. His knowledge of the Wapping market, expertise in both lettings and sales, negotiating ability, responsiveness and sheer determination to get things done have been invaluable. Importantly, he combined outstanding service with excellent commercial results, maximising the rental return and subsequently achieving the best possible value on the sale. Just as importantly, he has been a pleasure to deal with throughout. After two years of working with Adrian through both the letting and eventual sale of our property, we could not recommend him more highly. Anyone looking for an estate agent in Wapping who combines genuine local expertise, commercial judgement and exceptional personal service would be very fortunate to have Adrian looking after their property.

Adrian has been with us throughout what turned out to be a really long and complicated process - and I mean really long! He sold our flat quickly, but when our first buyer fell through due to mortgage issues, Adrian helped us pivot to the auction route, explained how it all worked and guided us through our options. I rented one of their properties for two years. While Adrian is a good, kind and friendly man in general, I was left deeply disappointed by how things were handled when it came to the deposit. When I moved in, I clearly mentioned that I didn’t want certain pieces of furniture in the flat. Adrian agreed and said it wouldn’t be a problem, that the items could be moved to another property. There was never any mention of me having to pay for this. Now, I’m being asked to cover the cost of paying for the greedy landlord's furniture, which feels unfair and misleading. I did agree to buy a new sofa, however - which I did do. I also agreed to pay for a doorbell I had removed, but I was charged £40 for a model that sells for under £10. I would love to see the receipt for the new doorbell:)? I was also left without access to the electricity meter for 18 months, despite repeatedly asking for a key. I never raised this in my deposit dispute, but probably should have done so. Over the course of two years, I paid approximately £54,000 in rent and looked after the apartment with enough of a care and kept to myself as much as a tenant can.. After 13 years of renting in London, I have had my fair share of problems with estate agents, but have never faced any deposit deductions, aside from a £13 charge for a nail polish mark on the floor.... I was surprised and disappointed by how this has been handled. It’s sad that some landlords or agencies are so desperate to milk the tenants as much as possible and their greed is baffling. Especially considering that the landlord cheap skated as much as possible throughout the two years of my tenancy. I always just tried to improve things in the very old and poorly maintained property - albeit in a great location - that I was paying a LOT of money for. As I mentioned, Adrian is a good man and I wish him well, but the fact that he's allowed for this scam to happen, is nothing short of disappointing.
