We are renting our flat through Chestertons and the whole experience since we moved in has been shocking. We are constantly ignored when we report issues and have to chase all the time. We have 2 ongoing issues one that was reported 3/4 months ago. We were told that someone called Fiona left and have been dealing with someone new who is even worse. No communication happens internally so when people are on holiday you have to start the process all over again. Would never ever go through Chestertons again

Hi please be careful of this company and their landlords as work has been carried out at a flat but the landlord and company are refusing to pay. Only £700 but the don’t seem to be sorry or to be willing to pay as they are not replying to calls or texts please other people be careful

They totally had their eyes on the landlord's wallet and not us or our friends when it came to renewing. Why? Greed, plain and simple.Even though we said yes to their renewal offer twice, they still tossed the property onto the open market. They tried to blame the landlord, but we know that's just a classic Chestertons move.Honestly, the worst agency we've ever had to deal with.

GoogleI was looking to rent my flat last December and after Catherine from Putney office viewing it was clear to me that the Chestertons is only agency I would trust with my property. Catherine was extremely professional but at the same time approachable and friendly. She was very open, honest, realistic with the current market and explained to me clearly how the process works. I did advice Catherine at the beginning of our meeting that I am considering to put my flat for rent with two agencies. However, after my meeting with Catherine I was so impressed with her enthusiasm that I have decided to go only with Chestertons. Catherine and her team has delivered exactly what we talked about and more as I received first offer (of the asking price!) 3 days after the flat went on the market and by the end of day 4 I had more offers and flat was rented by end of Friday. My new tenant is really nice and exactly the person I was hoping I will find. Thank you very much for your help Catherine and Putney Chestertons Team. Karolina

GoogleWe rented a property via Chestertons during 2016, whilst searching for our next property to purchase. We came into contact with a number of estate agents during the course of the year. The key thing that sets aside Chestertons from their peers is their human touch. At no point do Cathy, Heather and the team appear to have any agenda other than helping us secure the property we wanted and efficiently manage any subsequent transactions. They were a pleasure to deal with, very cheery and I would very much recommend them.

Attention to detail, timeliness of responses and good all around knowledge of tenant management has made the current dealings with Chestertons (Ann Dickson more precisely) a pleasure. In a sector that has been affected by high turnover, it is once again about good managers which are rare, should be supported and retained. Hope it continues.

Asked for a valuation, estate agent turned up thoroughly unprepared. Undervalued the house and did not know anything about the area or recent sales of near identical houses at higher prices. I chose to use another estate agent. The problem is that they will not now leave me alone, this is a year later! Endless marketing calls and emails and my repeated attempts to ask them to stop have come to nothing. No other estate agent has done this. The latest muppet at the company tried to justify the lack of any option to remove my data from their lists in their email on the basis this was a business email rather than marketing. I look forward to seeing what the information commissioner has to say about this, as that seems the only option to stop the endless hassle from this company. Best advice, avoid them at all costs.
