By far the worst agency for tenants and landlords

Horrible, horrible, horrible experience with Chestertons Fulham lettings and property management. Multiple issues with the property left unresolved, we finally decided to cut our losses and leave, didn’t receive any compensation for living in a property which had stains and leaks and other issues, instead we were charged an early vacating fee. Escalated to management and then senior management, no one cared. It’s been 3 years we are still scarred by our horrible experience with this company and would not recommend it to our worst enemy. Stay well clear if you value your sanity.

Great experience with property management/refurbishment services

I'm a landlord who has had their property managed by Chestertons for many years now and overall I've had a great experience with them. My current property manager is Shruthi Purswani, and she's been excellent. She's recently helped me with a tricky situation. She is very professional and is quick to respond. I've also had experience with their refurbishment services, which I would also recommend. I plan to do more work with them in the future. Our contact was Elizabeth Joyce who over saw the work. She liaised with the contractors, kept us up to date and addressed any concerns promptly. We are very happy with the final result.

I am disappointed with the way my concerns were handled by Chestertons Putney. Over the course of more than a year, I made repeated efforts to resolve an ongoing issue directly with the branch. Although I remained polite and tried to find a reasonable compromise, I felt my concerns were never taken seriously. Communication lacked empathy, and despite several discussions, I saw no meaningful action. Based on my experience, I expected a much more professional and considerate approach from a local business.

Isaiah Samuels- Despite joining well into our tenancy, Isaiah was extremely proactive in trying to resolve our issues and give his best efforts in all our interactions. We had several issues with the landlord and previous property managers who were unable to get approval to carry out repair works. I engaged with Chestertons in respect of a new residential property purchase in Putney. From the outset, the service from John Ralph was first class - he was professional, courteous, and gave me great confidence in the process. We had some challenges along the way in the process, including a tricky team on the Vendor's side... but John used his experience and pragmatism to find solutions at every hurdle. I definitely felt comfortable that he would help me navigate through the process, and I was delighted to complete on my property last week (Jan 2025.) I can't recommend Gregor Scott and Chestertons enough! We were looking for quite specific rental requirements in terms of accessibility and to tight timings and Gregor was absolutely fantastic. Do not do business with them. They let a tradesman into my home without telling me. They gave him a key and he just opened the door. I thought I heard something upstairs. I walked up there and there was a man standing in my kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you know how terrifying that is? They have messed up on many occasions.
