We have been renting through Seymours for two years now, and Maddy from their West Byfleet office just helped us find our new home to fit our current lifestyle and circumstances. Maddy was amazing, kind and super patient, paid attention to details of what we needed as our new home, and found us suitable options. She thoroughly discusses every fine detail of our search questions and provided appropriate responses. To be honest, an excellent rating will even be an under-estimation for the services she provided us. 10/10 Can’t leave out Ben from the West Byfleet office too, who kindly took us round day in day out to view the options, and patiently answered all our questions, even the most silly ones. He is a lovely chap and was very respectful and kind to us and our kids. He was always sharply dressed too, and calm spoken, a compliment we can’t leave out for him. Clare Bryan has been excellent with her advice on possible property values and likely rentals for two possible residential apartment blocks that we are looking at developing in Walton. Due to the sensitivity of the land purchases we have needed some advice which Clare provided to assist us in our development appraisals as margins these days can be tight. THANKS Clare if we do purchase we will use Seymours for sales and lettings.

Do not use them. If you do, definitely do not accept their recommendation to use Woodford Stauffer Solicitors. They only recommend them because they receive commission (£500 in this case), despite knowing they are a poor firm. Woodford Stauffer held up our entire transaction when they were working on behalf of my buyer (who in this case was my dad). When I called Clare at Seymours to ask her to chase the solicitors to catch-up with the rest of the chain, she basically blamed them and said there's not a lot she can do when they don't answer her calls or emails. Not exactly a glowing reference for a firm she's recommended to highly to my dad... Clare also ignored subsequent calls and voicemails I made to her to chase through progress. Fortunately my vendor used a proper estate agent who did all the chasing himself. Clare was more of an obstruction to him than she was helpful. So my advice is to avoid both Seymours and Woodford Stauffer at all costs.

I worked with Seymour’s over a period to help progress a clients house purchase. There were a few challenges with the purchase and we were so grateful for Clare’s support. Clare has taken the time to check back in at several points since the sale completed and has helped provide valuable guidance on a few ongoing challenges with the property and the property market in general. As the Executor of my Aunt's estate, it was my responsibility to sell her house. I live in Yorkshire and her house is in Walton on Thames, so I was concerned that this would be, logistically, a difficult process. I need not have worried! I chose Seymours because from the moment I requested a Probate valuation (along with 2 other local agents) I was so impressed! Daniel Maltby attended the property with my Aunt's neighbour and she told me how polite, friendly and genuinely interested in the house he was. He kept in contact with me, without being pushy and when it was time to market the property, I chose Seymours. I'm so glad I did! Daniel kept me updated on all viewings, feedback from potential buyers and was happy to talk at length with me to discuss my decision making regarding our buyer and providing excellent advise. Not once did I have to chase to ask for feedback. Once I had a buyer, Sam Wright took over the sales progression, contacting me with updates at every step of the way. Again, not once did I feel the need to chase for updates or answers. She kept on top of every step of the process liaising between myself, my solicitor, the buyers and their solicitor. I can honestly say it was an absolute joy working with Dan and Sam. They made me feel like their special customer and I am absolutely certain that is how they make all their clients feel. I can't imagine I will need to buy or sell another property in the area, but I would have no hesitation in recommending Seymours to anyone who find themselves in that position. Thank you so much for making my job as an Executor, so much easier!

In my experience, this agency is not trustworthy. I had arranged a property viewing with them and travelled all the way from Manchester. The appointment was confirmed with me the day before, and my viewing was scheduled for 10:00 a.m. the following morning. Shortly after I arrived, one of their staff members called and asking where I was. I explained that I was standing outside the property at the confirmed address. I was then told that I was at the wrong location because the property had already received an offer and that I should instead go to a different address. The most frustrating part was that the agency had apparently changed the viewing address without informing me.. I only found out that the address had changed after I had already travelled from Manchester and arrived at the original location. This level of disorganisation and poor communication is simply unacceptable. I had already invested significant time and money travelling to the viewing, only to discover that the arrangements had been changed without my knowledge. I would not recommend this agency, especially to people who are new to the UK or from immigrant backgrounds. Professionalism, transparency, and respect for prospective tenants should be the minimum standard, and unfortunately, that was not my expertise.
