GoogleIf you are a landlord, please never ever give your property to them to manage. I had my property in London managed by this agent for 5 years and I ended up getting into a debt trauma after having discovered utility bills and council tax unpaid by ex-tenants. Hope you don't repeat my regret and pain.
Now that they've responded, I want to add I'd be very careful with what they say and claim, focus on what they do. You see the response below is still trying to mix up things and shift responsibility. The truth is heating is part of utility paid by tenants (as my current tenant is doing), so as council tax. The managing agent should at least inform/alert an overseas landlord in case there are unpaid bills through check-out process. That's the bare minimum. The outstanding bills mentioned here were accumulated during the years under its management. They said at the site, I quote "We are here to take all the hustle away from you whether it is regarding managing, renting, letting, buying or selling a property. ". From my experience with them, I can tell you they don't. Instead, I almost had a heart attack.
It doesn't even deserve one star, but google insists ticking one in order to post.

We understand the frustration and stress that unpaid bills and council tax can cause, when we have looked into this matter the bills are the ones which belong to your service charge due to the service for the heating being a provider from the development themselves, when you state the council tax bill which is new, news to us, you can simply inform them of this matter and we can assist, the reason we haven't assisted , is you are no longer a client of ours therefore we don't manage your property and have access to most of these details anymore. Please be assured that we took proactive steps to inform the tenants of their responsibilities, and we always strive to keep landlords fully updated and supported.
We also want to acknowledge the hard work we’ve put into managing your property over the years, and we’ve made efforts to address any concerns promptly, including offering free time on works to make things right.
