Experience with dexters over the past 1.5 years

We have had a mix experience with dexters over the past 1.5 years. In the beginning of the contract, their support was very slow and it was difficult to get basic things done. For the past 9 months, our point of contact at dexters Bryan Norton Crail from property management has been a game changer for us, he is in constant touch with us about specific issues happening in the flat and trying to get things done as quick and efficient as possible. We appreciate the help and support that we are getting from Bryan and from Dexters now.

Very unprofessional and rude attitude.

Very unprofessional and rude attitude from agents. Had 2 viewing with them. The first place we saw was taken already, as the landlord took an offer from another agency. In the second place we viewed, we didn’t want to view but they pushed us to view with emails and calls, they rushed us to pay holding deposit. Next day they kept sending emails and calling to do reference, after filling everything up I received letter saying that we have to start doing the legal work, pretending that I haven’t started anything and said that it’s been 48hr (it was not close to that it was 38hr gap) since offer took place (7pm) on 14th and the email they sent was 9am on 16th. There in the email they threatened that the flat will go back on market because of that. When I went back to agency to pull the offer due to how unprofessional they treated us with the written emails, and threats that they will not give the place to us, they shouted at us to leave because I told her her mannerism was unprofessional, she told us we were being rude because of that, not letting us speak and she kicked us out of the agency with no chances of getting the deposit back. Wouldn’t suggest anyone using this agency, terrible experience, and stolen deposit.

I am a client of 2 Dexters branches

I am a client of 2 Dexters branches. One works very well because there is an individual who can take responsibility and get things done. 5 stars. At the other branch, I have no single contact and when I call the letting branch they say maintenance is not their responsibility (despite being the managers) and I am referred to the property management people (not sure where they are located ) but then still no single person takes responsibility. It can be a very trying experience finding someone who will actually do anything to help

Dexters Property Management

Dexters have been fully managing our property since August have done a great job. We, unfortunately, had a major leak that damaged the property all the way from the top floor to the lower ground floor, and this was just five days before the new corporate client was supposed to move in. The team too swift action to get the house ready for the tenant to live in while the longer term damage could be repaired. They even worked with our insurance company to process the claim. It has been a very stress free (despite the extent of the damage) and hands off experience for us. We are very pleased we handed over the management of our property to Dexters.

I made the mistake of trusting Dexters…

I made the mistake of trusting Dexters again after an initial incident where pure profit over people made me wish I never encountered them, but I loved the look of a place being advertised and couldn't help but at least attempt to see if it was right for me. In the end not only was it a "bait and switch" the property being advertised was already off the market but I 1- got inedadted with irrelevant properties in my inbox 2- was stood up at a viewing that was scheduled and 3 had all of my communication preferences ignored. I won't fall again for the trickery and horrificly unprofessional conduct of Dexters again.

A simple email saying „this property isn’t available anymore“ or whatever the reason might be is simply the professional thing to do, and it’s not hard. Dexters got me excellent tenants in no time, there was only one week between the previous tenants leaving and the current tenants arriving!
