GoogleKevin Perez was very responsive and kept me up to date with the purchase process. He was also able to negotiate a suitable moving date with his client which reduced the period following the sale of our previous property to the new property. He also faciliated communication directly with the owner regarding furniture left at the property.

FacebookAs property search agents we buy numerous houses a year for our clients, so are used to some of the pitfalls that emerge from the legal process. Rarely do these manifest themselves as being so incompetent as the conveyancing firm employed by the probate clients for whom the team at Wood and Pilcher in Tonbridge were acting. There is no question that the deal would have collapsed if it were not for John's pragmatic, patient and perseverent approach to resolving whatever problems were thrown at him; no question, in our relationship with several selling agents, that he qualifies as our 'agent of the year'

FacebookOur rental property has been left in a dangerous condition. The property is managed by the Tunbridge Wells office. We reported a leak to the toilet 7 and a half weeks ago, the flooring was damaged and was dangerous to walk on as the flooring underneath had become loose. Yesterday we had contractors attend and began to fix the flooring, half way through the work, the landlady contacted them and told them to stop all work immediately. The result is that we have no flooring in the bathroom apart from a small walkway leading to the sink, either side there is a 1 and a half foot drop. The contractors were upset as they did not want to leave the property in such condition but we're told that they wouldn't be paid for the work if they continued. We have children in the property who are unable to use the bathroom and we have had to barricade the door in case they forget in the night and fall through the floor. I wish I could share the photo, it is terrible. The landlord and estate agents are more than happy to take almost 2k per month than to ensure the property is suitable to be lived in.

John had his finger on the pulse during the entire process and made it as stress free as possible for us, going the extra mile throughout and keeping us informed of developments. Delighted with the service and would absolutely recommend. These processes can be so stressful and inevitably the unexpected always happens, so having someone that cared made a huge difference.

If I could I would give 0 Stars. Absolutely appalling experience with Wood & Pilcher. We signed a 6-month rental contract fully aware the property was for sale, a risk we accepted. Just two days before our move-in, we were informed the contract was cancelled due to the house being sold.

From Leon who managed everything with the property to Tina who kept us up to date with the progress of the chain the service was great. They went above and beyond by pushing a chain which was struggling to move through and I would highly recommend them.

Lydia has been looking after me and i couldnt ask for anyone better! Thank you! Highly recommend them as you will be far from disappointed. Best people around by far.

FacebookA great big thank you to Leon and the team in the Crowborough branch for all they did getting our fairly large chain through to exchange. Leon kept me updated throughout on the phone and Tina's round robin emails to the chain kept everyone fully abreast of the state if play. I would not hesitate in recommending them.

Different stages of the process were handled by different people, but it felt very much like one team working together to achieve more. At every step of the process we were kept fully up to date of what was happening, and made clear what we needed to be doing ourselves.

FacebookMy wife and I have just sold a property in Heathfield, All the staff at Wood & Pilcher were always professional and made the sale super smooth, communications via telephone, email and letter was the key to their success, they really treated us like their only customer! This was never the case as I am fully aware of the immense juggling act that they have to make things run so smoothly. I would highly recommend them and would use them again in the future without any doubt. Very well done to all the Heathfield branch and thank you for a perfect service.

FacebookWe would have no hesitation in recommending Wood and Pilcher to anyone. We were mainly dealing with the Southborough branch - Bryan, Emma and Sarah, who worked hard to get us a sale at full asking price. During the course of the sale, the time leading up to exchange was fraught at times, due to factors beyond the control of W&P. However, we were then helped enormously by Lynn at the Tunbridge Wells branch, who pushed things on as fast as she could. Massive thanks to all concerned.

Awful communication. Both to me the tenant and to the landlord I was renting from. Kept being fobbed off with different answers everytime I communicated. Would not recommend rent g through them, they are clueless.

FacebookWood & Pilcher in Heathfield helped us enormously with our property. Their independence shines through - now that we're somewhere else with no local W&P branch, we're shocked at how the typical high street estate agents resort to dodgy tactics and harrassing calls about mortgage advisers etc. Wood & Pilcher did a lot of hard work behind the scenes, taking so much stress out of the whole process, though always there if we needed them. Highly recommended.

FacebookThe property that my partner and i moved into a month back has had issues with the toilet fittings and balcony doors which still have not been rectified despite innumerable calls. The property has a pre locked security system that still has the old tenents passcode etc and requires a visit from the technician which surprisingly we are being asked to pay for. Would never recommend the agency to anyone!

GoogleArranged a 10.30 viewing in Tonbridge. Arrived early from 30 miles/45 minutes away. No agent. Found 8.45 email saying property unavailable. No apology; no suggestions. A phone call would have caught us before we'd left. Wasted morning and petrol. Useless.
