Nick and the team have been absolutely brilliant throughout my tenancy. By far the best letting's company I've used to date. When I've had issues Nick responded promptly and got things sorted in record time. I was impressed. Even the exit was fast and got my deposit back and everything wrapped up nice and quickly. Avoid Henwick Properties

If you are a property owner looking to rent your property out, then avoid this company, Henwick Properties, like the plague. They do not carry out and complete the relevant credit rating checks on people before they even move into the property, as they took on two people to rent my Mum's house out and they both had CCJ's against their names, even before they moved in, therefore, they should not have even been allowed to rent this property, however, the father and two sons who own and operate Henwick Properties did not do this, as they should have done anyway, as that is mandatory, period.

Company should just close down

Was a Tennant with Henwick for 8 years and over the 8 years they was hard work to deal with. I’d report issues and constantly have to chase them to follow up and to find they never actually actioned anything. Every time you speak to them they give you a clear impression that they don’t care as is more of a bother to them that you call.

I would give Henwick Properties 6 star if I could. Ben helped me secure a great flat in a nice part of Central Reading at a reasonable price, and was very accommodating with my bespoke requests. Throughout my property hunt, I approached a number of letting agents in my search. Almost all of them (apart from Henwick and one other) used high pressure tactics to try to get me to part with a Holding Deposit before I was ready to. Ben was very understanding when I told him about this. He knew exactly the right times to press the button to request money from me (i.e. when I felt comfortable enough to part with funds) and didn't let my concerns jeopardise the deal from closing. And they also managed to get me in only 4 days after I viewed and offered. Henwick Properties are based a few miles outside Reading, but they cover properties to rent in Reading and have staff regularly available in the area to conduct viewings. The property was immaculately clean, pretty much to the letter, and had very little wrong with it. It's been a while since I last rented, but every friend and colleague of mine who I have ever spoken to about renting have all complained about properties they move into coming with a list as long as my arm of faults or teething problems, so it was a huge relief to me that I was able to enjoy this move without experiencing the same. Again this demonstrates the high standard that Henwick Properties deliver. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Henwick Properties to any prospective tenant.

Having rented a property out for years with multiple local agencies I can tell you this team are a different level. I've been looking for a 2 bedroom house for months and months and everytime I ask if a house is available in Newbury or Thatcham the house then magically disappears off the website. Don't waste your time even ringing because they also don't bother ringing you back to let you know the house has been put up for let. It's a joke.

They made me wait for hours in vain, even though I told them three times, no one looked at the car for two and a half hours. When they delivered the car, it was delivered without washing. When I asked why, they said it was a joke because the water was chalky and left a trace.
