GoogleHad a very unpleasant experience with Beverly at TAG. Country is in a housing crisis and refused to give solid reason for rejecting an application. Supplied sufficient character references as two working nationals. Other estate agents have passed us on criteria; TAG generally seem uninterested in letting any properties to hard working citizens with referencing. Avoid at all costs.

GoogleDoesn't deserve not even 1 star. For a month I called to view different houses and their answers were "send us an email, somebody will get in touch". Eventually I went to their office. We even booked a viewing on a new house (for today), the answer was "we will email you the details". I just called them and I cancelled it as obviously nobody bothered to send anything. So, overall a huge big NO for this agency. Their customer service it's less then 0. I can't believe how is possible to have so many houses.

GoogleAwful company. Have caused massive upset and stress to my two elderly grandparents by falsely applying charges following a long-term rental. The house was maintained and cleaned immaculately and left in better condition than it was at the start of the rental by dream tenants who they have now attempted to charge over £1k in completely unfounded deductions. The gardens and house were maintained meticulously by a couple who take immense pride in their home. They've picked the wrong fight here. Based on their amusing attempt at a patronising response below they seem to think a review constitutes a "childish" campaign. Good luck during the incoming recession.

We've never spoken before, my name is Paul Gregory and I'm a Director of TAG Estate Agents and TAG Residential Lettings, although I operate predominantly on the sales side your observations regarding your Grandparents recent tenancy should not go unchallenged. As I understand it the relationship between TAG and your Grandparents for the last three plus years has been a good one, only falling to this level at this point.
It would be helpful if you first used your Google-Fu to research mandated procedures that agents HAVE to follow when there is a dispute at the end of a tenancy, If you had done so you would be better informed and probably not inclined to vent in such a way. Unless you are of the opinion that the rules apply to everybody else and everybody else only.

Once you have done your research and have given it some thought, you should conclude that there is a reason that the legislation is drafted in this way, and it's actually to protect tenants. You see, the Landlords are our ( agents ) clients, they pay for the service, even more so since the tenant fee ban ( legislation which I approve of, it put an end to rogue agents doing the job virtually for nothing for the Landlord yet fleecing the tenants who had little defence other than to pay up or walk away ) and their relationships often go on for years, decades in some instances.
Ask yourself this, if agents arbitrated disputes who would they naturally gravitate towards? The tenant with whom they have an often fleeting relationship lasting months or the paying Landlord with whom they have a relationship legacy as well as a commercial focus?
This is why 3rd party ( free ) arbitration is the sensible course of action via the compulsory schemes to which we subscribe.
Threatening companies with social media campaigns is childish, and one of the reasons this agent doesn't take much notice of rating sites is that they are too easily gamed, TAG have been in business for 21 years and if we were wrong 'uns we would have been found out well before now.
Threatening my colleagues personally with legal action when they are only trying to do their job in good faith and in compliance with legislation is just plain nasty, an approach that will not serve you well in any relationship whether business or personal. Hopefully you will receive enlightenment sooner rather than later, life is a lot easier. Furthermore, we are trying our best to find solutions in property for people in rural North Gloucestershire, we are not performing in an episode of Suits or a remake of My Cousin Vinny.
If you are right, and the Landlord is being unreasonable, you ( your Grandparents ) will win in arbitration. Simples.
I completely understand the emotional context of your actions, we all have older relatives that we feel particularly protective of during the pandemic, but please, do your research before opening your laptop.

GoogleVery unprofessional company, no procedures in place for managing the property, for the management fee they did nothing during the tenancy and the tenant actually was trying to get hold of us directly to get a solution to a problem as the estate agency was so poor at communicating.
I would definitely stay away from this company if you're a landlord looking to rent your property, aswell as a tenant because our tenants did not have a good experience with them at all either.
Would have been better to manage ourselves, without thier fees
