We had a good viewing experience with Karen and communication with Helen was brilliant - very helpful and responsive with an issue we had after offer accepted. Communication with Sam was good, however we did have a negative experience with her early on where she spoke to my other half and our mortgage advisor very rudely because we chose to move our survey to a different day. Exchange and completion went smoothly and overall I would recommend Perry Bishop Tetbury to others.

We have always been slightly sceptical about estate agents but Perry Bishop in Tetbury, particularly Helen Pugh sorted that out. Helen and her team have been nothing short of amazing. Helen looked after our sale herself, answering difficult questions and dealing with particularly difficult situations effectively. She really showed us her true professionalism and care, helping us out when we needed her. She kept in touch, was always available and never took her eye of the ball. We had a great experience with Perry Bishop from start to finish. After viewing a handful properties with them, we eventually found the one we fell in love with and had our offer accepted. After more than a year with a previous estate agent in Nailsworth, during which nothing happened and we did not receive a single offer, we switched to Perry Bishop in Tetbury. The difference was immediate. Whereas the first agent largely waited for Rightmove enquiries, Perry Bishop were proactive, realistic about pricing, and clearly knew how to market the property properly. Viewings increased rapidly, three offers were achieved, and despite several chain failures outside anyone’s control, the sale ultimately completed. Communication was regular, clear and honest throughout. This experience shows how critical it is to choose the right estate agent. Avoid Perry Bishop at all costs. Our experience with this agency was appalling. We asked them face to face why the previous sale on the property had fallen through, and they deliberately chose to omit the actual reason, that the house had spray foam insulation and was therefore unmortgageable. This blatant lack of transparency turned the entire buying process into a nightmare, caused huge stress, and ended up costing us thousands of pounds more than it should have. We were forced to escalate the matter to the Estate Agents Ombudsman, who investigated and ruled in our favour. Perry Bishop now has a formal ruling against them for their conduct, which says everything you need to know. Buying a home is stressful enough without being misled by the very people who are supposed to act with professionalism and integrity. Perry Bishop failed on both counts. If you value honesty, transparency, and basic competence, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. Although our experience occurred two years ago, I’ve since heard of similar issues including the failure to disclose important property information with potentially long-term consequences. Unfortunately, it seems their practices have not improved.

We purchased our new home through Perry Bishop in October 2025 through their Tetbury branch. Their communication was swift and they balanced both their sellers needs and my own well to achieve an offer being accepted. We then moved on to deal with our sales progressor, Sam - who was immense. We received really regular check-in calls from her - and what was nicest was that the first order of business was always ‘how we were’; not just ‘how quickly can we get this done’ - which was a really refreshing thing! When it came to the business though; Sam chased responses for us, offered solid advice and really helped to drive the transaction along. I couldn’t speak more highly of Sam and Perry Bishop in general. I’d highly recommend from a buyer’s point of view!

To say our time was wasted is an understatement. Calling people with good money, just to use their more than generous offer to drive the price up and discriminate against interested parties who are not cash only buyers! Not only that one of them was condescending and talked to us like we were children. They knew the interest was there and yet they tell you. "Your offer is declined!" "You're not the right buyer for the house or our clients circumstances" (this is people who already have a house mind you so why they can't help out buyers is beyond me) "It's not about the money" the agent said! And yet they turn away good money! And then if that wasn't bad enough. I am then told they didn't say that!!! I burst into tears I was so upset. I felt like we had been discriminated against and I am heartbroken. We have never been treated so badly. And I had made it more than clear that I wanted the house in question. That is was the only one I was interested in. And they knew from the start. But it seemed to be more and more clear, that they were just waiting to say no to us. I feel humiliated and horrified. But I want to buy that house. And we wanted to establish a good relationship with the office. But we have been left to feel absolutely terrible and heartbroken, and discriminated against. Which now means that with 9 weeks left, we will most likely have nowhere to go! The agent laid it on thick about how the sale had not gone though initially and their vendor's were so heartbroken? Really? When they already have a house? How do you think I feel. As we now have nowhere to go!
