Our house sold within a day and although the chain was short, it proved a challenging time. James pushed it through and kept everyone informed so that the chain remained up to date. From the moment I first phoned the office in Hastings I felt confident that my sale was in the right hands. I was fortunate to speak to an incredibly dynamic young man named Liam. How lucky I was. From start to finish he oversaw my sale with expert knowledge, confidence and understanding. With his help I was able to sell my home rapidly to exactly the right buyer and in turn able to buy my dream property. I seriously can't thank him enough. Mark the manager was brilliant too. Between them they gave me their professional insight regarding my expectations versus what I could achieve which was absolutely invaluable to being able to successfully sell and buy without having to wait very long. I selected ‘Rush Witt & Wilson’ to market my house and have been extremely impressed ,from the very start, with their proactive and professional approach. The initial preparation for market was informed, thorough and prompt. The virtual tour and listing together with photographs produced is nothing less than excellent. Scott Rea ,in particular ,is very focused and has worked really hard he is a very good communicator and I have been kept informed every step of the way. As a result of his efforts the house had 3 viewings within the first week. I would have no hesitation in recommending this agency.

Bad experience

Although the staff were polite and friendly, I had a very negative experience using this company when trying to purchase two grade 2 listed properties in northiam and bodiam. The owner of the northiam property would not confirm if the private drainage was compliant and we waited weeks and it cost us over £2000. The owner would not progress the sale when we offered an alternative way forward. I complained to the branch manager. He showed my complaint to other staff members but never replied to me. The property went straight back on the market even though the vendor would not sort out the drainage and the company completely disregarded my concerns. The next purchasers might fall into the same situation we did and the company do not want to take any responsibility regarding how this effects the buyers. The second property in bodiam was just coming on the market and was disclosed to us that a member of staff was related to the vendor. They assured as the sale could move quickly and if the drainage was not compliant the vendor would sort it out. We agreed to the full asking price and waited for the compliance to be confirmed. We waited another 2 weeks but still wasn't told if it was compliant and also if it was not we would need to pay towards it. The cottage is now back on the market at £20k more than the original price! What I experienced does not seem very professional. BEWARE of private drainage and false promises.

I could not be more impressed with the service provided by Rush Witt & Wilson's Tenterden branch. James and Kelly were knowledgeable and extremely supportive throughout the whole process. Kelly kept us informed at every stage of our move and, genuinely, could not be more helpful. We first came across James and Kelly late in 2018 when we purchased our current house via R W & W. We were very impressed with their attitude and helpfulness - beyond what we expected - especially when there were some hurdles to cross. So recently, when having to sell a relative's house, they were the first to call and were the most reasonably priced out of three we enquired about and their advice was particularly appreciated. We have just finished the sale and are very happy with the way things went. Also note, house buying and selling is usually quite stressful - but Kelly is particularly helpful with her banter. We would definitely use again and thoroughly recommend.

We recently sold our property with the rye rush witt department and I can honestly say that they were nothing but brilliant. From the very start when Ralph came round to value, up until the final moments before completion. We were looked after for 6 months by Barnaby and what a little star he was. I can't recommend the team at Rush, Witt, Wilson highly enough. Their care, attention and customer service is second to none. They went above and beyond to help us find buyers for our property under extreme time pressure and guide the sale to completion within the required time frame. Estate agents are often maligned but I have to say that Kelly and James put all such criticisms to one side by focusing on the needs of their clients - both seller and buyer - to ensure a good buying and selling experience for all involved.
