The complainant is firstly not a tenant of ours. Pam was not alone in the office and every word she spoke was heard by other staff who did not think that complying by the GDPR rules and not providing our landlords contact details is argumentative or rude. She asked for his company, Virgin Media, to send us the details and evidence of damage and we would pass this on to the landlord to be dealt with through the correct channels. Furthermore, the complainant is "parking his vehicle on private land without permission from the landlord or us as their agent" which is one of the reasons the barriers were put up in the first place as our own tenants were unable to park. He has since been to our office and did not mention any of his issues with our staff and was quite polite but still posts a review without any substance. If he wished to complain then we do have a procedure in place for this not hiding behind an untrue google review. If Rutherfords were unprofessional then we would not have long term landlords and it is known in the industry that a good agent lets properties quickly so does not have many on the market.

This review is false as Rutherfords have never had a tenant of this name also if you are going to make accusations back it up with evidence so who ever you are have the courage to come forward and back this review up.

We as a company have dealt with overseas renters before with no issues. However, the information that was required for the gentleman in Australia was not provided. The referencing company cannot accept the word of a prospective tenant without contacting their employer. Given that we have let to people in the armed forces, police and local government before we found it strange that any contact with the employer could not be provided. Furthermore, it was the referencing company who requested a guarantor as the prospective tenant did not have a job in the UK and therefore no guarantee of the future salary whilst the other had a zero hours contract which is not acceptable. The guarantor employment information was also not provided so therefore the references could not be completed. With regard to the holding deposit, it has been retained to cover the landlord costs as you have withdrawn from the application for no reason other than the timescale and the fact that you were not able to provide the information requested to progress the application. It has become obvious that trying your best to help someone is not always the best thing to do. By replying to any reviews it is not arguing in defence but merely stating facts in response. Not all reviews are genuine.

Disgusting is a strong word to use without stating why, its amazing how someone can be fine with an agent until there is just a slight problem with rent on one of your properties which in this case Rutherfords were aware of and kept you informed and arranged payments with the tenant to help them catch up. Without going into details this tenant had been offered local authority accommodation and was waiting for it to complete so they could move out but you still insisted on a section 21 being issued then got your daughters involved which was a shame as one of them took the Maverick approach and went to the house to harass the tenant which is totally against the law which to quote you is "Disgusting"
