I wanted to put in writing how grateful we are to Linda Christopher at the Gorey branch of Sherry Fitzgerald. When we set out on our home buying journey I was poorly prepared for what a difficult and stressful thing to do it can be. The one person that has stood out throughout the whole process is Linda. Her kindness, patience and most of all her willingness to offer her expertise to all aspects of the home buying process has been invaluable, and without her I would have almost given up! I’ve lost count of the number of times she has given clarity to what would have otherwise been an issue I had no understanding of. And that goes far beyond her role as an auctioneer. I'm torn to be honest as I've had polar opposite experiences between using SF to buy a house and as letting agents I dealt with Michael in swords to buy a house, he was excellent, went over and above for me the buyer even when he didnt need to. He gets the 5 stars above. When dealing with them as a letting agent, letting out my house I would give 1 star. A lot of promises but not a lot of delivery on those promises.

Horrible experience renting with them

Horrible experience renting with them. I visited the apartment that had faulty balcony door, which they said would be fixed before I move in. It was not fixed, the house was extremely dirty with food residue in the fridge, many light bulbs not working (they fixed it after a week). Right now, more than 2 weeks after moving in, the balcony door is still not fixed. I’ll never rent with them again.

Whatever you do, DO NOT work with or trust Matthew the ‘sales manager’ very deceitful and dishonest and caused so much added stress and hardship to our family. It’s been months since his lied and screwed us over (leaving out very crucial information is the exact same as lying) and we’re still feeling the effects. Seems like he likes to leave our very critical bits of information that are hugely important when it comes to people making the decision about the purchase of a home. Sharon has been helpful and seems caring; I always had a pleasant experience communicating with her.

Long-Term Tenants - Excellent Service

We were tenants of a Sherry Fitz property for almost 7 years, and were always happy with how they handled our inquiries. They were also very helpful when it came to us moving out, and accommodated us when we needed to change the date. SF also returned our deposit promptly. I just wanted to give a shoutout to Pippy Proger, the real estate agent who helped us buy our new apartment. She was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process! This company is amazing especially Mark Lawlor. They sold my house quickly and efficiently. It was really easy to catch Mark on the phone for any queries. He did a great job in getting the best price for my house whilst having great integrity by giving transparent information both to me and to the buyers. He guided me and provided excellent advice from start to finish. I give Sherry Fitzgerald 5 stars and will definitely use them in the future. They are a little dearer than other companies but it's worth it for a seamless service. I got a valuation from another company for the same house and they valued it €105k lower than what Sherry Fitzgerald valued it at and obtained so Sherry Fitzgeralds valuations are more accurate.

From the start I was told the buyers of my property a cash buyer would be ready to go whenever I was. They would move as quick or as slow as I needed. The buyers pushed to close on 23rd September. In order to do this, I had to have my property cleared out and my belongings put in storage. At 1300 on the 23rd I was informed that they couldn’t make this date due to the nature of their business. This contradicts the previous comments made that they would move as fast or slow as I needed. By then I had moved out and turned off ultities. Then I was told 14th October at the latest would be closing date. Come 14th October they still weren’t ready. Whilst most of the issues arsing were not the agents doing. It was his “word” that we took. He’d tell you want you want to hear just to make a sale. There is nothing they can do so his “word” is just that, words. The sale eventually closed October 21st leaving us without a home for a month. I was left paying two mortgage repayments as I had drawn down my new mortgage but yet unable to live in either property. I was offered as a "gesture of good will" for my mortgage payments covered for the month which I never received. Very disappointed with the sale of my house. I needed a quick sale, I was promised a quick sale. I didnt get a quick sale. A quick sale as promised by Sherry Fitz Swords was the only reason I accepted the cash offer, In hindsignt I should have gone elsewhere.
