Don’t make the same mistake

If I can deter anyone away from buying a property with City and country, then allow me to do so. As a purchaser, the company has no consideration for their residents. Here is just a few examples of my personal experience:>Block access, therefore leaving you unable to get in and out of your property. >Their workers hang their clothes over your garden fence.>Failed to section off wet, drying tarmac, resulting in wheel and paint damage to vehicle. >Installed the wrong tiles in bathroom and ordered the wrong kitchen. >Contractors trying to enter your property and disturbing you asking if the garage is block work or brick work.>Installed the backdoor the wrong way round so water flows into the house rather then out. >Nails left on floor throughout drive access. They like to make false promises and not deliver. Most of all, they fail to take responsibility above all else. This is the 5th new build I’ve experienced, and by far the worst company I’ve come across.

Delighted with our new home and with the customer service received from City & Country. Avoid at all costs

Don’t buy a property from City & Country unless you enjoy being ripped off and treated like scum. Company is run by some truly unpleasant and dishonest individuals and should not be in business. The same goes for their managing agents of choice, Encore Estate Management. Avoid at all costs

The 1840 - Missed the mark, not luxury experience

Sales team do not give all information that you would expect about the enviroment you will be living. This ia specific about The 1840. Upon visiting different times during day/ evening and night you hear horrifing screams from those that have been amitted to the current hospital that is situated just behind the development. I can honestly say that this has put me off. I have also spoken to others that have purchaced they have been severly let down such as a 1st time buyer the flat was not cleaned to good standard, it had defects all over the property, units also having bad condensation build up on windows. The property is an old one but if City & Country are refurbishing and selling as luxury apartments .. they have really missed the mark.

My Wife and have recently purchased a new home from City & Country at their Manningtree Park development.From viewing the house to purchase was very smooth & the Customer Service was excellent.Since we moved into the house the excellent service has continued.We are very happy with the development and the house, of course we had the usual snagging problems but all minor and sorted very quickly & efficiently.Overall very happy with the whole experience.

I am familiar with C&C as they converted (beautifully) Sundridge Park Mansion House, Bromley - and did a splendid job on the apartments. They are apartments that are a sound investment and I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend them. The new housing estate at Burderop Park however, whilst it has the potential to be a welcoming and family-friendly place to live, so very many residents have reported horrendous issues with their new homes - in both phase 1 & 2. ‘Snagging’ of course happens with all ‘new builds’ but these properties (there is only about 60) have a long long list of issues with windows, walls, flooring and so on. This estate’s reputation will be permanently blighted unless the issues can be addressed, as otherwise the value of the properties will not be realised when owners come to sell… who wants to buy a house that has so many issues?
