Dissatisfied

Before we moved into the new build house the process was amazing, if you emailed it would be responded to straight away, if you rang someone would always answer. Now that we have moved into the house we find it near impossible to get in contact with the sales team for stuff we are still waiting for and the site team. We are extremely disappointed in how things have gone since moving into the house. Big issues that we have brought up have been told they can’t be fixed. We have had so many issues / snags in the house. From the house demo, the snags we picked up on weeks ago still hadn’t been fixed and still not fixed when we moved in. The most recent one being the cupboard door falling off and damaging the oven hob. We have tried to keep an open mind about all these issues however starting to get really annoyed due to how many issues there is. It’s as if they have built the house as quick as possible with no quality or care. How this passed the inspection I never know. We have also been told by contractors that have been around to fix some of the issues that if it was their house they wouldn’t have moved in due to the amount of issues they can see. We haven’t been able to settle in the house yet due to the amount of things that need fixed. This is not a home, it’s still a construction site.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Scott and Roxy for making the whole process of buying a house at Winceby Fields, Gleeson Homes so simple, quick and efficient. From initial enquiry all the way through too completion, nothing was ever to much. Both Scott and Roxy were happy to work around my work schedule, even coming in on days off to help. Even though I reserved the house at the last minute, Gleeson managed to accommodate all finishing touches I needed. What really impressed me was the aftercare service. Even though I’ve not had any issues, they have checked in with me to make sure I’m happy with everything in the house. Would definitely recommend Gleeson and will be back to buy again!

No aftercare as promised

When our property was handed over to us, we were told on our doorstep from the sales team and the head of builders, that should we have any problems with ANYTHING on site to get in touch with customer service. Our problem is regarding the covenants that we had to sign, these are not being adhered to with quite a few properties on our housing development. Contacted customer service who have literally told us, there is nothing they can do to make sure all properties uphold these, get legal advice! So asked a solicitor and they have told us that the developer can enforce them while still in control of the site, which they are! Very disappointed in the over-promising during sales and now falling back on the legal reality.

Their After Sales Is Non-Existant

There after sales is rubbish. They do not want to fix problems that they have caused. When we moved in, our back garden looked like a dump for builders rubbish. They came and rotated it to remove bricks, rocks, builders rubbish. They could not of rotated very deep because when the weather turned nice, I started to dig the garden and found loads more builders rubbish and a lump of concrete about 2-3 meters wide and 5-6 meters long about an inch under the soil. I raised a complaint with Gleeson's and they refused to do anything about it.

I have been chasing since SEPTEMBER

I have been chasing since September as to the state that our estate has been left in. They have moved off this site now and it is clearly out of sight, out of mind. Constantly being fobbed off with the same ‘we are chasing our technical department’ response. The management company have not took over yet so it is of the responsibility of Gleeson to do this yet these ‘managed’ areas have been left for months and months leaving it a scruffy mess. Just goes to show the disregard they have once they have their money!!

It has been a wonderful 8 months journey with Gleeson. Our first visit as a family to view properties was in January when we met Jackie. Jackie Acklam Gardens is fantastic and lovely. She did everything to make my dream home come through. When the buyer for my old house cancelled the purchase, Jackie gave me all the support required to make a successful purchase of my new home and we moved in on Saturday. Jackie is wonderful ❤️. Great Experience

Me and my partner decided to purchase a home at The Homesteads, South Yorkshire, we visited the show homes and really fell in love with one of the house styles. Our sales executive kept us updated every week with the progress of our plot, so thank you to Sharon, Claire, and Jamie. We have now moved into our new home and it is just perfect, of course we have had snagging issues but the site team, Ian and Mark have been amazing at getting our issues sorted so quickly, as well as getting updates through the customer care team. Jamie even helped us out when we had a delivery coming but I had to go to work, he made me aware once it had been delivered and put in a safe place.

Highly recommend Gleeson at Birkwood

My wife and I have now been living in our new Gleeson home for a month. We needed extra space for our children and really liked the new build designs at Birkwood in Mareham-Le-Fen. Angie Lawrence was our point of contact the whole way through the process and she was fantastic. She was very personable and took a genuine interest in helping us find the right home for us. We found the process very smooth and any bumps in the road (from our side) were well received and Angie was understanding and supportive.The site manager at Birkwood, Danny, was also excellent and took time to show us around and answer any questions or ease any concerns. Minor snagging have been quickly sorted out with the knowledge that any others would also be sorted out.We have bought a new build in the past in Kent but found Gleeson to be a step above in all aspects. You can fall in love with a housr

We moved in 6 weeks ago to the Longford and it's amazing , I never thought I could fall in love with the house and yet every day I am a little more in love than yesterday .I feel like being on a permanent holiday and the fact that it was a blank canvas with only the kitchen and bathrooms done, was better than expected as we can now choose everything as we want it.We started with underfloor heating and the lvt flooring throughout the house with wooden staircase . The area we are in is like an oasis , so peaceful and quiet . Gleeson Sales advisor Louise has been our anchor throughout and will always be grateful to her. Liam, the site manager has always listened and got on with any snags( very minor) as soon as they appeared. I am so grateful for this house and for my family.

A family friend introduced Gleeson Homes to me and asked me to speak with Karen. I rang Karen on a Tuesday, not knowing it was her off day. Karen gave me a call back as soon as she resumes the office the next working day. We had a conversation, and she booked an appointment with me.I and my wife went to Vickers Grange development in Bircotes to take the first step of getting a new home. Karen was very helpful. She took us around, gave us the necessary information and support we required to getting our new home. She was very welcoming and kind to us.I would say we received good customer service from Karen. Fantastic Experience with John at Bracks Farm

Our sales exec John at Bracks Farm has been unbelievable. His customer service is next to none, he has answered every question (trust me there’s been a lot as first time buyers) with as much detail as humanly possible. John has come through on every promise, we’ve been in our home a month and he’s popped round multiple times to make sure everything is ok again answering any questions and resolving any issues we have had. We bought our first home with Gleeson, Amaara helped make the process as smooth as possible and she was so helpful with explaining the process to us. She helped us from the very beginning with getting us in contact with a mortgage advisor, we wouldn’t be in our first home now if it wasn’t for her. A real credit to the team. We moved in quickly, any snags we found prior to moving in were done for the day we moved in. It’s been 64 days and I can still smell the fresh paint…

We initially visited the Rainsborough Park development to have a general ‘nosey’ and see what type of property would work for us, whether it would ultimately be with Gleason or another developer. 64 days later… we completed. Sharon was exceptionally helpful in the sales office. From explaining how the process would work via part-exchange, to supporting us right through to the completion date, I cannot fault her in any way and she is clearly an asset to the site. In the week leading up to completion, we met Neil, the site manager, as he gave us the tour of our property. His knowledge and professionalism came across immediately and he was very responsive to any questions that we had. A massive thanks go out to both of them.
