Edited response: Hi, sorry about that. I guess in the situation I found myself this time last year, I was probably not very keen on typing up an epistle. I had contacted yourselves about an accommodation in Sunderland 2020 (chester road) and indicated interest in renting your room. I also indicated I was willing to pay the usual holding deposit to secure the room, but after many delayed responses, I got a reply asking me to pay the full rent or half for a start! I hadn't seen the room and due to covid I couldn't travel; and I had even sent my documents to be processed. A few days before I had planned to travel to Sunderland, I contacted yourselves as I hadn't gotten a reply - only to be told the room had been let the previous day - 4 days after we had exchanged emails with documents and I asked about the holding deposit so I could pay immediately as I had this prepared! No explanations, and I wasn't informed. This practically left me stranded as I had thought I would only need to stay in temporary accommodation for a few days - but instead I had to start the search all over again at the last minute. I would expect that having collected my information and arranged to meet me, you would at least reply to my email or inform me you had let the property to allow me confirm alternatives. I thought the customer service I received could have been better - and I could not help but wonder if there was a reason you did not want to let the property to me, despite me being obviously prepared to rent it. This was the impression I got - which I appreciate could've been wrong - but it would have helped to have got some better communication which would have saved me a world of trouble. Edit in response to the reply left by Select Accommodation (as my previous review was just a blank post): Hi, I may never have officially stayed there however, my girlfriend was resident for two years and as a result I have spent many the night here and there. I believe that my 1* review is valid for the following 5 reasons: 1) mould could be found throughout the house 2) mushrooms were found growing in two different rooms 3) rats and mice lived within the premises (and I would like to add, they didn't have to pay rent) 4) the house was in a general state of disrepair 5) the landlord would take days to reply (as noted by the time it took you to reply to my review - 9 months) *also, I would just like to note. Google does not let a person review a location they have never physically been to (this is called automated moderating, many websites do this) Have a good day

great agency, brought my friends and me around via their car to view multiple properties for student accoms. offered a better rent deal if we could find an extra person to stay with us. small issues only ever came up and they take about a week or less to respond. remained covid safe throughout. they have good property locations if youre studying at the university of sunderland.

I’ve recently had to move out of my old flat under very short notice and through this whole process I’ve had a lovely woman by the name of Pamela answering my every worry and question. She has made this stressful situation a lot easier to cope with and has been answering all of my questions no matter how simple they may be with frequent responses. I often have trouble understanding simple tasks but Pamela explained everything I had to complete in a very clear but professional manor. I’d definitely recommend these services!

Very sorry that I bothered. Website says they let to students and professionals. They didn't answer a query and when I phoned, I spoke to someone very unbothered and disinterested. There's nothing on the website to indicate that your property MUST be in walking distance of the campus in order to get a civil response.
