I would 100% recommended these guys. They were very helpful from start to finish. We have been in our property over a year now and they have always been there if we needed anything. We had issues with our boiler not long after we moved in and they were always quick to get it sorted for us. Sally herself is quick to respond to any messages and also Tony if you needed any repairs. I know if there was anything we needed, they are just a phone call or email away. The house itself is great and we have made it into our little own home. Anyone considering these then I would deffinitly say go for it! Sally was brilliant from start to finish in getting us into our property and everything was just a breeze to do with no stress! Thank you again

After some months of searching for a property in Sunderland, Having viewed over 100 properties and being let down many times by agency. I finally came across Anthony James Property Ltd, AJP found me a home having listen to my requirements; AJP was exceptional and really helped with the whole process along. iv been a tenant for 2years they are the worst landlords iv ever come across iv had no working boiler for over 5 weeks and he told he to fix it myself they also ask people to give fake reviews the damp is unbelievable they White washed the walls b4 I moved in I complained about the leak in my roof the week I moved in so did my friend as I could not get a hold of them they really take advantage of vulnerable people like myself i have already reported the slum like conditions to my c.p.n and will also be reporting them to health and safety with the council for the damp the rising damp and the boiler I'm not the tipe of person who likes trouble but I'm not keeping my mouth shut so they can take advantage of other people also I'm sure they don't talk to each other because none of them seem to no what they are doing only interested in people's money and use threats and intimidation all the time I don't care if they try to evict me for this review il simply take them to court my mental health services are were aware of the problems I'm having and he is also known to hurt women that's what I was told but if he trusted that with me he will be a very sorry man I don't pay my 40 pounds a month top up as I'm sick of living in slum like and dangerous conditions they are a very deceptive companie avoid at all costs they always ask people to leave positive reviews theys are there friends just look at Google reviews lots of people saying the same as me they want heavily fined and shut down looks like il be taking them to court for breach of contract dam disgraceful company avoid at all costs

Their website and answer phone state the company is open 9-5, yet when you ring at 4pm you get no answer, tried 2 for emergency repairs, keep getting cut off and no further forward, they left us with unsafe living standards which has been patched but not fully repaired for months on end, honestly of all the property letters this has been the absolute worst, it wouldn't be so bad if you could get through to them or if they opened their office at normal times.. Apparently the guy can't get emails until he's in the office (and they can't change their website?? how unprofessional), it's like talking to the 1980's.. and the staff in the office should use the phone not send emails anyway, especially in emergencies. The fact we have been here since 2016 doesn't mean anything, we've paid the rent on time and have been neglected on numerous occasions, so yes I was extremely frustrated when I rang up as would anyone who you treat unprofessionally for years on end (we reported the problem to office staff at 10am, and at 4:30pm the maintenance team was not aware of the problem, great communication well done). For the record we had an unsafe step in between the kitchen and dining room which had caused several accidents over the years to ourselves and guests, luckily no-one was badly hurt but we should have got lawyers involved in hindsight, of course most people don't want to cause trouble for their landlords for fear of retribution. responses to response: AJ: someone attended to help you out of our usual hours. ME: we reported the problem 10am in the morning, outside of usual hours is moot when you can't pass a simple message from the office to repairs. AJ: .I also believe just because as you state 'are a big lad & can't climb a ladder' is not our fault. ME: Actually the smoke alarm was jammed, even the professional contractor took about 10-15 minutes to get it open, I did try to sort it out but to no avail. AJ: Think it's really unfair that you have left us a 1-star review considering we helped you even though you were very abusive & swearing at our staff.. ME: 1 star is honestly how me and the wife feel about how you have neglected us over the years, and yes I swore because you were clueless about the fact that there was an issue, my dog was absolutely petrified and had to stay the night at my dads house, so you need to have a chat with your team in the office and make sure things get reported correctly, and also it's 2020, the excuse "I can't get emails until i'm in the office" just doesn't work anymore.

Anthony James Property Ltd, they are reliable, compassionate, convenience and loving landlords, very responsible to share properties with, I have lived in their property as a tenants for the past years because they make me comfortable in there properties unlike some landlords. I and my family feel very safe with them, even if I need a change of location they will still become my landlord. You will be safe, convenience and comfortable if they become your landlord too. Will recommend Anthony James Property Ltd time without numbers.

Currently living in one of there properties and I can not wait to be out after Christmas! Been waiting since last WINTER to get a new bathroom as mine is caving in, rotten away and leaks every time we have bad weather, makes it even worse that someone who has been doing repairs for the landlord came out today to check boiler and even told my self that the previous tenants told them them about the bathroom and he got told just to fix the bath back onto the wall! There an absolute DISGRACE and I feel for anyone who gets my or any of there other properties. The staff speak and treat you like dirt. My front door was broke for over a week till my mam went into the office and kicked off and my bathroom sink has been broke for over 6month. Sooner am out the better!

Have only positives things to say. I was unable to view an auction property near them that I had purchased, and after only one phone call, and no commitments or anything exchanged, they went above and beyond to assist me. They refurbished the property at extremely competitive rates (I had several quotes from different contractors, but as I was in London it would have proven difficult, Tony matched the total cost I was quoted, and managed the whole.project) Always easy to get in touch with, always giving time and attention and assistance. Whenever I contemplate doing anything in the North East, they are always my first point of contact.

I live over 200 miles away from my rental property and in recent years have mainly communicated by email with Sally. Emails are always friendly with "a how are you" Hope you are well" etc. My property is a newish build so there are very few repair issues. When I joined them 9 years ago I was in a difficult situation as a previous letting agent had absconded with my rental income. I had just come out of hospital so could not drive and Tony sorted out the property for me - really helpful.

From not letting vacant properties over three months - and not even marketing one(!) - to not putting up a small gutter in three months but repairing water ingress on inside - so the same problem can re-occur! Not answering emails, promising everything but actually doing very little or nothing. I don’t understand how or why such people are in business! I may have to sue for breach of contract...
