They were the worst estate agents I have ever had the misfortune of using. I would particularly not recomend using them if you are a student, because they will treat you with complete disrespect. There's a hundred more where you came from, so they don't care about you at all, and if they completely screw over one customer they'll still sell the house next day. I turned up for a viewing of a nice house in Cambridge. There was a thunderstorm and we were two minutes early, so we knocked and asked if we could wait in the hallway. The tenants were lovely and offered to show us around the house. The estate agent was more than ten minutes late so we'd have a whole viewing by the time she got there. When she DID get there, she completely freaked out, and told us it was unnaceptable behaviour to be there without her. We apologised and offered to apologise to the tenants for any inconvinience caused. Instead, she kicked us out of the house, phoned Reese and Associates, got all our viewings cancelled for the following week and treated us like absolute vermin. We tried to explain to the housing agents that we had only been two minutes early, it was raining, she was late and they were really keen to show us round. We said we hadn't known there was a rule against this (which was something they had never told us) and it wouldn't happen again. But the estate agent had lied through her teeth, probably to cover the fact she was very late, and said we had shown up half an hour early and harrassed the current occupants. When it was our word against hers obviously our complaints didn't get anywhere, and not only did we end up losing the house we wanted but the consequent faffing around with human resources to fix the black list problem cost us valuable time in house hunting. We eventually had to complete change our estate agent. Students are scum to them. They genuinely do not care. They will be rude to you, and lie to your face, and screw you over without a second thought. Please don't go through the same thing we did! There are many other estate agents you can use.

The staff are always professional and very prompt in answering any queries I had as a tenant and a great deal of helpful information was provided to us to ensure we had good knowledge of the properties we stayed in. I had a very positive experience with Rees & Associates during my 3 years and 3 months of tenancy. The communication has been always smooth and efficient, and the staff proved very kind and helpful with all the matters I had. The apartment is beautiful, perfectly located and in a great position in the Mill Road area, close to pubs and shops. The check-out procedure has been easy and I received my Tenancy Deposit back in few hours. I would use R&A again if I will come back to Cambridge.

As a landlord with Rees & Associates Property Management, I would like to comment on the service they have provided me with over the past 5 years for my Cambridge properties. I have found them to be a very engaging and professional company to do business with. They provide me with very prompt and accurate monthly statements, and visit the rental properties on a regular basis. I noticed a review on this site was made by one of my tenants with disparaging comments about Rees & Associates that I would wish to respond to. She stated that after her initial 6-month tenancy, the rent was due to rise by £50 per month. This was simply not the case. Indeed she had been provided with a discount of £45 per month for the initial 6-month period due to a quiet period thus saving herself £270 in total. Furthermore, her rent thereafter, which she had been made aware of from the outset, was to revert to the normal monthly rent being paid by her fellow tenants for rooms that were comparable with her own. The normal rent had also been frozen for 2015 at 2014 rates! Her room was left with dust on the wooden window blinds, ceiling light shade, skirting boards and carpet. When a room is first offered to a tenant in good condition and in a clean and tidy state, it is not unreasonable I feel for the management company to expect to find the same when a tenant departs. I have no hesitation in highly recommending the services of Rees & Associates to landlords and tenants alike.

We had no problems at all with Rees and they were only more than helpful with any issues that we had. We even managed (all four of us) to lock ourselves out of the house and they drove our keys over. Mr Rees himself was very friendly and the house we were staying in was due to undergo renovation.. He asked us how much we thought they should charge for rent as he wanted to be fair to the new tenants. Everyone at the agency seemed friendly enough and we didn't have any deductions at the end of our tenancy. I think if you're fair to them and you're realistic with your expectations (we were living in an old house), they will be fair to you.. We tried our best to resolve issues by ourselves and if we couldn't, and we explained.. They were only more than happy to help. We were organised and took pictures of everything when we moved in and went through the inventory with a fine tooth comb so that if we did have any issues with deposits we had a leg to stand on. Yes there are charges, but I'm sure there are with other agencies and they are in the contract. Again, I can't speak on behalf of anyone else but I know that my housemates and I were more than happy with the service provided by Rees.

There must be a conflict between the people working here since one employee tells me one thing and the other, another. There's no cohesion and no teamwork- evidently. I spoke to one woman who was extremely rude and extremely unhelpful and hung up the phone essentially and was evidently bored, with no intention of being cooperative. I will not be looking for a property through Rees. This is not a reflection upon the company I am sure but a reflection on the people working here. Strongly advise to go elsewhere if you're looking for helpful people who will make this hard process easier.
