Googlen my experience, this company has been extremely unprofessional. Communication was consistently poor, and I rarely received updates or returned calls. Commitments made to me were not followed through on, which left me feeling misled and very frustrated. Based on how I was treated, I would not work with this company again and would not feel comfortable trusting them with my property.

GoogleExcellent Service from a very professional team.
I have no hesitation in recommending Tinsley Garner who recently sold my property. Andrew was very knowledgeable and advised me on pricing and marketing. Chloe and Vicky arranged all the appointments with potential buyers and Jonathan handled all the viewings and then gave me valuable feedback. Once the sale was agreed, they kept me updated of progress via their sales progression report and telephone calls. They made the whole process simple and I would like to say a huge "Thank You" to Andrew, Jonathan, Chloe and the team.

GoogleWe recently completed the purchase of a property via Tinsley Garner, the interaction was consistent with our expectations, Chloe was on hand whenever we needed her to provide support and updates on the progress of the purchase. Also found Jonathan to be very knowledgeable about the area during our viewings, and extremely patient at the second viewing when we turned up with our measuring tape! Thank you for everything

GoogleThe price was good and the most competitive in are. Everything was included in the price which was value for money. I would have liked to be contacted weekly as other agents do with updates on progress especially once property sold, I was contacted more by the purchasers agent. Otherwise it was a good experience

GoogleWe have waited two weeks for a phone call back regarding a second viewing on a house. In this time we have called multiple times with no luck. The house we were interested in has now sold STC. Tinsley have not once kept up in the loop in regards to this situation. Very poor communication.

Hi Jacqueline, I'm sorry to hear your comments. I've checked our file and it appears the viewing on the property you were interested in was cancelled by the sellers because they were unable to fulfil the appointment. According to our file a message was left for you by one of my colleagues asking you to contact us to re-schedule but we didn't hear back from you. In the meantime, we have had an offer for the property which has been accepted by the sellers. If you feel the need to discuss this further, please feel free to give me a call. Jonathan Tinsley

GoogleShambles to be honest!
Tried to deal with this company who really do not care at all for you the customer . I honestly believe that they are totally in this business for as much money they can get out of you ..the customer... that is possible!
We put in a couple of offers on a property in Staffordshire . They do not come back to you and when they do...they blame their vendor! What they are really doing is pushing the market in their favor by making you the customer spend more than you really need to . What actually happened to professional honesty? We actually spoken to a neighbor who had exactly the same issue with this same estate agent when he too tried to purchase the exact same property that we were after. He advised us to steer clear of them and leave well alone. He has since purchased a nearby property and he is more than happy now.
What has been said before is actually quite true...that being ...they really believe that they are above us all! You have to honestly step back and listen to what it is ....they don't say ! Arrogant and very unprofessional as already stated on here by others.
Feel sorry for those who have taken them on . Especially the owner of the property in Staffordshire....he has not a real clue on what it is that is happening regarding his property whilst he is away out of the country.
We are still waiting a reply for an offer we put in on this property 4 days ago! I will not hold my breath .......Life is just too short !

It never ceases to amaze me that people such as yourself who have the temerity to leave negative reviews have such courage in their convictions they have to do so under a pseudonym! On several occasions our client has clearly and categorically stated a minimum figure they would accept, not a penny less. That is our client's decision, not ours. You are fully aware of our clients expectations.

FacebookTinsley Garner Estate Agents What an incredibly unprofessional company. After calling them for what feels like the hundredth time, following countless broken promises of a call back, I was met with the rudest, arrogant sales agent imaginable, who showed less interest than my little finger. They spoke to me as if I had no experience whatsoever with buying or selling homes, gave responses completely inconsistent with previous conversations, and showed zero acknowledgment of mistakes made on their end.
In short, they lost a sale. Good luck to anyone who chooses to use this company, don’t expect consistency, professionalism, or even the basic courtesy of returned calls. This is not the first poor experience I’ve had with them. Truly unprofessional.

GoogleJonathan and the team at Tinsley Garner were extremely professional. From Jonathan coming to appraise our home and having it on the market took less than a week!
We had to take our home off the market due to a change in circumstances, however we had more viewings with them for the three weeks it was advertised for, than we did with another agent that we were with for 2 months!
When it’s time to sell again, we’ll be using Tinsley Garner.

GoogleRecently purchased a flat through TG. Smooth sailing, kept informed and no issues. Have now let the agent rent the property for me. 3 viewings in as many days when it hit the market and tenants moved in, in less than 2 weeks after we completed. Couldn’t ask for a better agent!

GoogleAs first time buyers looking for a house is very exciting unfortunately this time round has been a disappointment a house that we would have loved to view come on the market last Saturday we then emailed them on the Sunday asking if we could book a viewing after no response for the 5 emails that we sent I then decided to ring them on the Wednesday to be told that they are happy to do a viewing but would need to speak to the seller to see when is available thinking positive I thought I would hear back from them that day or early the next but no nothing I then emailed again asking what was going on once again no response I then rang them again to be told that an offer was put in Monday and they are waiting to hear back from it and they will let me know again nothing then my boyfriend rang up to be told that the offer has been accepted but they could pencil us in for a view incase something doesn’t go right when they needed to cancel the appointment I had a phone call a text and an email if only we had that to let us know what was going on! Very disappointed

Hi Allana, I'm sorry that we were slow to communicate on this particular occasion, but the property you were enquiring about did already have an offer under consideration by the seller and they had requested no further viewings until they had made a final decision. I am sure you would agree that in previous dealings we have always acted quickly in responding to any enquiries.

GoogleReally disappointed to have made an appointment to view a property confirmed via the phone last weekend to have nobody turn up to the property today. Apparently if you don’t get a text or email confirmation you should assume it is not a confirmed appointment whether verbally agreed or not. Tried to call this morning to confirm again just to be sure but nobody to answer the phone. Phoned whilst at the property and told no appointment, apologised and offered for appointment next weekend, no thanks don’t want to waste another weekend. Small admin errors but can have costly consequences if you are missing out on sales commission. Oh well.

GoogleAVOID AVOID AVOID! Mr Garner is a vile vile man who uses bullying tactics. If you have any problems what so ever with your property and call them to sort it out, they will use every thing that they can to avoid doing anything about it. Tracey is just as bad. They are a fine agency if nothing goes wrong with you property or if you do not need to contact them, but if you do you may as well either live with it or pay it out yourself and sort your own problems out.
The care and compassion of these people is unbelievable, especially if you have young infants or disabled family members.
We could have took action and was advised to do so but didnt want any more bother. Quite frankly, i never want to hear from Mr Garner ever again. Our mental health has been ruined from our experiences with them. I genuinely have no idea how they havent already had action taken against them. after discussing this in the local community hall, its become apparent that quite a few people have had similar issues with them.

Googlei was looking to rent a property (meadowside way stone) and from the first they were curt unfriendly and patronising -when we had an agreement in place and had paid an upfront fee with a move in date agreed i had a death in the family and went to lancaster to sort-in the time i was away a small minded person called garner phoned my partner and conned him into paying £200 on some sort of premise that it would secure the property even though it was agreed with the so called lettings manager tracey -i thought that upfront payments were outlawed and any company who tried it on should be ostracized-does this not prove the levels this rubbish company seems to stoop to- then when i told them i would not be continuing with this rental due to this action by this non entity of a small man called garner-NO CONTACT!!!-i have tried to sort this with them through 4 emails in 3 days and not once have they had the common decency to reply-again proves my point showing the nature of these useless incompetent conmen who run this shambolic non company-AVOID like covid 19 !!!!!!!!!!-look at the other reviews!!!!!-i will sue these conmen to get my funds back that they openly conned my partner out of!!!! carter.j 31/10/20 update in answer to their reply-the reply was written by the very small minded person who ripped us off in the first place-we had a family death which elongated the application and the lettings manager accepted this but this small minded person garner then decided to rip us off with the above charges-that is why we decided to change our mind and went to a proper lettings company not stay with these complete charlatans!!!!NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Regards your comments, we do not take 'fees' but any monies you paid were a holding deposit which is deducted from your first month's rent. You requested to delay your move-in date by a month which our landlord agreed to but after the month you changed your mind about taking the property. We refunded you your money

FacebookI found them very unprofessional and they left me feeling humiliated and embarrassed after my phone call with them, I called regarding a property that went online that day to be told not to bother going for a viewing because if it was between us and someone else she would pick the others. I'm sorry but isn't the business meant to work with the clients and help them find a property not just disregard them if there maybe a few issues? this is not the first time we have had issues with this company and now know to definitely steer clear.

I'm sorry to hear your comments Abi and apologise if any comments made may have unintentionally caused offence. We always endeavor to match suitable tenants to suitable properties and if there are any issues which may affect a tenant's application for a property we always try to discuss them at the outset to avoid any disappointment at a later stage.

GoogleThe level of incompetence is absolutely outstanding in this company.!
* No communication (unless being threatened)
* Very demanding and obnoxious.
* On countless occasions they have threatened to enter the property last minute.
* Abusive emails sent sometimes on a daily basis.
* Paid £1000 deposit and £1000 rent up front and upped the deposit by another £100 for no reason.
I highly recommend people steer clear of this “company” dealing with them is a whole world of pain and stress!

Luke · 21 June 2019
Agent replied · 19 June 2024
Luke, firstly we have no record of you having ever rented a property from our company. In response to your comment about the deposit, the only reason we would ever request an additional deposit from a tenant would be if a tenant had a pet - this is a normal request. As for 'entering a property last minute' this is absolutely not the case, we would only ever attend a property by appointment with a tenant giving a minimum of 72 hours notice.

GoogleShould not be allowed to operate the way that they do, withholding extremely important & legally required to disclose information about the state of a property from potential buyers until a price has already been negotiated. Comes across as completely dishonest and deceitful.

Hi Hannah, have to say I really don't understand your comments. As far as I can see from our records you have never been in negotiation on a property we have had on the market and haven't even viewed a property with us since the beginning of 2023. Case of mistaken identity methinks.

Googlereally unprofessional and totalling insulting. Andrew Garner is a very unpleasant man, when told the valuation from 3 other estate agents he became rude "your place is hardly Mayfair", My husband and I both have businesses and he was suggesting we lived in slums and were poverty stricken. If he hates his job that much he really shouldn't do it. Someone with that little passion cannot sell. His tactic is pile em high sell it cheap. He was boasting of selling a house in 3 days at the asking price, obviously too cheap. He then went on to criticise my partner for getting the house at a bargain. I could go on..... however suffice to say, avoid, avoid, avoid!!!

Hi Lisa, I'm really sorry to hear your comments but I cannot concur with your views. We pride ourselves on our straight talking, honest approach and inevitably sometimes people may not like what we have to say. We are never rude to our clients but acknowledge the fact that selling your home is an emotive subject and sometimes that 'honest opinion' may be taken a little too personally. Far from 'piling high & selling cheap' we believe that our unrivalled knowledge of the local market helps many of our clients achieve exceptional sale prices for their homes, borne out by the fact that on average we achieve in excess of 98% of asking price for our sellers.
★★★★★ 1/5
GoogleCompletely unprofessional and only out for what they can get.
They refused to fix a shower within a rental property for 6 months and when another issue arose which would have left me with no shower or bath, they refused point blank to refund the charges of the repair of the bath tap. They take no responsibility for their actions and rather than value their customers and treat them with respect, they take what they can and the act in such a bitter manor.
Their tenancy agreements aren't worth the paper they are written on. If you do have the misfortune of getting involved with them, I would strongly suggest you gather as much evidence as possible of any issues or complaints you are almost certain to make and put everything in writing - no telephone calls.
Rude, obnoxious, greedy people with no morals.

Thank you for comments and I am sorry you have been disappointed with the service from Tinsley Garner. Firstly can I point out that our tenancy agreements are fully compliant with current legislation and are updated on a regular basis to reflect any changes in the law. We always endeavour to attend to maintenance issues in a timely fashion as we want to ensure that our tenants are happy in their homes and that our landlords properties are maintained to the highest standard. I believe that in this instance an emergency plumber was called on a Sunday afternoon to fix a minor plumbing issue and that the landlord had refused to pay what they felt was an excessive call-out charge. Had you called us directly then we would have had the problem fixed for you quickly by one of our authorised contractors, all of whom are appropriately qualified and fully insured.
Where the same review appears twice we show it once. We leave out reviews that name another agent or another of the brand's offices.
