GoogleMy partner and I recently purchased a house through Joanna Tiley Estate Agents. We couldn't believe how abrupt and rude Joanna and some of her staff were over the phone, when dealing with us and our enquires. Information was sometimes withheld or not passed on and we were met with unforeseen hurdles when we moved in like rubbish/furniture still left in the house and a prepayment electricity meter still in place.
The most disappointing tactic we discovered however, was the last and final offer, during "negotiations". We have since found out from others that have been involved with Joanna Tiley Estate agents that after your first offer, JT will tell you that the seller only wants your last and final offer submitted as there are "other sellers" interested.
A first time purchase for my partner and I, which should of been exciting, left us with quite a bitter taste in our mouths.

We always strive to handle all enquiries with clarity and respect, and we’re disappointed that our service was perceived otherwise.
The issue of rubbish and furniture left behind at the property is, as standard, the seller’s responsibility. As agents, we have no control over the condition in which the property is left at completion, though we understand how this can be frustrating for buyers.
Regarding the offer process: there were multiple buyers interested in the property, and in situations like this, it is entirely appropriate and industry-standard to request “best and final” offers. This ensures fairness and transparency, allowing the seller to make an informed decision based on all the information available. To suggest this was a “tactic” is simply inaccurate.
We’re sorry that your first home purchase didn’t feel as positive as it should have. Our goal is always to support both buyers and sellers fairly, and we’re disappointed to read a review that doesn’t reflect the reality of how we operate.

GoogleThere’s a difference between offering a house for sale and selling a house. Joanna Tilley demands a “Tilley Up” that makes the most of your home to viewers. It’s tough, but it makes a difference, for each and every viewing.
The team are always very responsive.
Then there is the deal closing. All deals have problems but JT and her team are genuinely good at resolving the difficulties when so many chains in this uncertain market break.

we had our house on the market for 7 months prior to moving across to Joanna. She came in personally with her glam squad, gave us some tips on how to display the house better, took fresh photos and had our house sold within a week.
The slightly higher fee than what you might pay with other estate agents is well worth it as in our experience you end up saving money with timescales and the price attained for your property.
Despite our property not being close to her base, Joanna came across and did lots of the viewings personally, she took care of all the negotiations quickly and efficiently night and day to any other estate agent we have dealt with in the past.
Joanna within a few weeks of agreeing our sale found us our dream property to purchase, in exactly the location we wanted and at the price point we were looking at.
we went to a number of agencies in The Chew Valley during our search for the right house but none of them seemed as focused as Joanna Tiley and Team.
