Michelle acted as my letting agent for around 2 years. Firstly, she was a massive help when my previous letting agent suddenly went bust. In what was an incredibly stressful situation, she couldn’t have been more helpful and understanding. Throughout the time she acted as my letting agent, Michelle was really friendly, knowledgable and efficient. If there were any issues with my tenant or property, she got them sorted quickly with little fuss. As a new landlady, I couldn’t have asked for a better agent. I felt confident my property was being managed properly and Michelle was always available to answer any of my questions. Definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you!!

I recently had a disappointing experience with Hatton homes and the house letting agent / Director, Michelle. I had booked a viewing before Christmas with the viewing date set for the first week of the new year. However, on the day of the scheduled viewing, I received an email notifying me that all viewings were fully booked, and I would be informed about the property's availability later. The last minute cancellation in the day of viewing was fishy. Despite my prior preparations, I was left in disappointment. When I reached out to Michelle about this issue, her response acknowledged that the diary was fully booked, but she conveniently had a last-minute cancellation for a viewing at 12:45 pm on the same day. Rushing to make it on time, I viewed the property and promptly expressed my interest. However, my follow-up email received no response. After calling Michelle the next day, I was informed she was awaiting feedback from the landlord. Days passed without any updates, and when I finally received an email five days later, it was to convey that the landlord had chosen another offer. What raises concern is that I was never asked for my offer, and it appears Michelle may have already had someone in mind after the viewing, someone she favored. The lack of transparency in the process, coupled with the feeling of being left out without an opportunity to present my offer, suggests a biased decision-making process. I am left wondering what criteria the decision was based on, considering Michelle only had my expressed interest and the physical viewing. The only explanation that comes to mind is that Michelle's actions seem to be based on a preconceived perception formed after the viewing, which comes across as prejudiced. This entire experience has left me questioning the integrity and honesty of Michelle's Hatton Homes practices as a letting agent.

Booked a viewing with Michelle to view a property at 1:30PM, turned up 5 minutes early and nobody was there to show us the property. My girlfriend that had arranged the viewing spoke to the letting agent who apologised and admitted she had mixed up the times and the actual viewing was at 1PM. We then asked if she could do the viewings anyway, to which she refused. We then asked if we could put an offer in with the Landlord and she said we were unable to because an offer had already been put in now?? I'm struggling to comprehend how an offer could be put in within a 30 minute period that would result in our own offer no longer being accepted. Also if we were no longer able to put an offer in because one had been taken, why were we not contacted to say our viewing was cancelled at the very least. The letting agent was negligent with the viewing and completely unphased by the inconvenience she had caused, offering no form of help or alternative resolution. Anyway, thankyou Hatton Homes for wasting time out of our working day as well as travel costs.

The letting agent seemed uninterested in us from the start of the viewing and we did not feel welcome. I feel I should have expected to be blanked after emailing our offer and leaving a voice mail but it was a demoralising experience nonetheless. Would not recommend at all especially if you are first-time renters or coming out of student housing. It feels very unprofessional to lack the courtesy to follow up with potential tenants.

We have used Michelle for letting flats in Didsbury since 1998. In the 24 years Michelle has always been very responsive and highly professional. Whilst we now live in Andorra we still use Michelle for our last remaining flat in Didsbury at Philip Godlee Lodge. Highly recommended. Colin and Alex Benson
