Rochdale branch-Complete waste of time!! Ignored 4 emails! Cut me off when I rang up! Online chat with jade giving details and saying I wanted advice on loans, I wanted to view a house and sell mine completely ignored-never got back to me!!!I’m amazed they’re still trading their attitude is disgraceful

Absolutely atrocious customer service on multiple occasions, final straw was broken when the rudest teenage estate agent I have ever had to deal with declined my phone call and ignored my partner and I at the viewing. Very friendly until they have your money.Once moved in they instantly changed to unhelpful greedy selfish people.Just want to rob you and make your life hell.Reported many problems but they were ignored.Would not touch these guys with a barge pole!Avoid at all costs!!!!

Martin & Co are setting new standards for letting agents in London. If you thought their greediness was impressive (with nearly 3 times the usual rate for reference checking) you'll be stunned at their complete lack of competence, their total lack of interest, and their abilities in lying directly to your face.

Leeds branch (letting) - terrible and untrustworthy, they spend your money without consent and have little regard for what they can do with client's funds in spite of it being illegal. Third party services provided for repairs are mostly poor quality and unchallengeable. I'm looking to exit as soon as possible.

Giles Mugford, Camberley Branch.Property: 2 Lower Canes, Yateley, GU46 6PYI put an offer of £290,000 on 26-May-2015. My offer was declined with the reason that my offer was lower than other offers. From land registry, I see that property was then sold for £271,000 on 18th Aug 2015. Wonder why?

GoogleI have used Martin & Co for many years and have found them to be very efficient letting agency. They are very approachable and reply to emails promptly and always obtain my agreement before undertaking repairs, which are then quickly sorted. No problems at all. Our flat was never empty.

Sorry to hear you have had a bad experience recently. We had done our very best to work within the government guidelines for estate and letting agents. As i am sure you can appreciate it had been a very difficult time for all of us over the last few months with staff having to work from home and trying to avoid physical contact with members of the public as far as possible. if there is anything we can do to help please call the office on 01786448812 all the staff are now working from the King St office and i am sure they would be very happy to help you find a property to rent.

£25 for a 2 minute reference is a joke....All about the money, customer service/satisfaction comes second unfortunately.

All of our reference checks are done by a third party supplier, these are very thorough checks and the costs from the supplier are passed along to the customer. If you would like us to look into this complaint in more detail, please let us know the local office you have used.

We reported damp in February and have only just been contacted back to say the damp won't be fixed as the landlord can't affordit. The fact that the letting agent think the landlord's response is reasonable just proves how much this company DOESN'T care!!
Where the same review appears twice we show it once. We leave out reviews that name another agent or another of the brand's offices.
