We moved in to our St Modwen home in Consett around 6 weeks ago and I am delighted at the standard of workmanship and the over all quality for our new build. The whole process has been enjoyable and stress free. Joanne the sales manager was professional, friendly and guided us through every step of the way. She was always on hand to answer any questions and regularly kept in touch via telephone and email providing information and updates. St Modwens gave us several opportunities to view the house during the final stages of the build, we were accompanied by the site manager Steve who is extremely helpful and always on hand to answer any questions and queries. The build quality and finish to my St Modwen home and the standard of the fittings and fixtures are amazing. A few minor snagging issues have been identified and raised with the after sales team which are being actioned without any problems. Overall I am delighted with my St Modwen home and the service I received from the St Modwen team. Thank you.

St Modwen wasn’t a well known builder in the North East of England I stumbled on them by chance fell in love with their fabulous unique show home and went on to purchase a plot. Everything so far has been excellent, professional and without issue. The first phase visit to my plot was informative friendly and the team couldn’t have done more to keep me updated. I look forward to moving into my new home in the coming months. Well worth a look!

Beautiful house designs and layouts. Personally choose the Houghton design for the “disguise” open kitchen plan. As a first buyer, it’s been a smooth experience going to different stages with great support from the Team, first it was Rob and now, Kyle whose best statement is “you can ask me anything whatsoever” and as a first time buyer, that’s a good thing to hear. Thank you for all the support. It’s been good so far, hopefully complete soon and I can’t wait to grab the keys to my new home.

House, location and the builders have been great, the post purchase customer care has been fantastic, with great communication. Only a few little niggles, nothing really and they have been fixed quickly. We were due to part exchange, we had already reserved the first house but the sales team sold it from under us! We reserved a second house and all was well but for some "legal" reason, they couldn't part exchange (this was never really fully explained to us). Move with us who were selling (either on part x or separate sale) were terrible! no communication until they wanted something, then all rush rush rush. I certainly would not use them again!

We had an appointment with Kyle at Snibston Mill on Saturday. We are looking to purchase a new home in 18/24 months and had been looking at St Modwen developments to try and get a feel for the 4 bed properties. Kyle replied back quickly and arranged an appointment for us to discuss what we were after. Kyle took time to show us around a couple of the 4 bed properties that they had at Snibston Mill, which they did not have show homes for. He was an absolute credit to the company, funny, engaging and listening. Nothing was too much trouble. He advised us of a couple of properties at a similiar development at Egstow Park and even phoned ahead whilst we were en route to let them know we were coming. Absolutely fantastic customer service.

Bought a new house in late summer 2025. House was finished well. Snagging list had lots of little things, but they were all sorted promptly and properly. There was nothing that stopped me living in the house or cost me money so really all fine. There’ll always be little things.

Tim Melia came round to repair a hole in our ceiling and did a fantastic job. He was super lovely, professional, and really considerate while working in our home. He made sure to properly cover the area he was working in so dust and debris didn’t end up all over our kitchen counters, which we really appreciated. He also cleaned everything up afterwards and left the place spotless. Really happy with the service and would definitely recommend him!

From my experiences with the St Modwen Customer Support Team over the last year & half, things have definitely improved. Whereas it took literally months to get a problem solved (hence the 4 stars not 5), now it only takes a few (necessary) weeks.I've had the pleasure of dealing with the highly-efficient, responsive and effective Elaine Cliffe who got our requests sorted. Her team have also checked in with us during the work to ensure things have been done to our satisfaction.The team who came to the house to get the issues resolved during the past few months have been polite, informative and efficient.In particular Callum who came to do an internal fix and was professional, helpful, listened well, did the job perfectly and left not mess!The final part of the job was completed this past week and Robert too was professional, informative, maintained a tidy work situation for the 3 days of his visit and completed the job wonderfully.A super team now doing a great job. Thank you all!
