Absolutely shocking service. Jenny was incredibly rude to my partner on the phone when we simply called to ask a few questions about a property we were genuinely interested in. She seemed far more interested in ending the call than actually listening or providing basic information. Instead of answering our questions, she tried to redirect us to view another property that, judging by the photos, clearly explains why it isn’t attracting much interest. To make things worse, she offered to book us in for a viewing on Thursday for the property we wanted, despite the website now showing it as “let agreed / to be confirmed.” Knowing we would have to drive three hours for this viewing, it’s hard not to question whether anyone thought this through. If this is the level of professionalism before even becoming tenants, I can only imagine what the rest of the experience would be like. Very disappointing

I have worked with Clarkes for over three years now and I have nothing but excellent feedback for the staff. I have found Elliot and Lisa to be incredibly helpful, kind and supportive with finding a home for my children and I. Nothing seems to be an issue with regards to property maintenance, Jenny is a superstar too. I hope to deal with Clarkes for many years to come, they’re honest and always help out with any issues I may have with a property. 5 star service :)

Honestly could not recommend this agency enough. They went above and beyond to secure me my tenancy. Any issue I’ve had (just some paintwork chipping on the outside) they arranged someone to come out straight away and sort it. They send out a gas engineer to regularly service my boiler. And Lisa is fantastic - as are all their staff. Always on hand with if I have any problems and are always understanding and efficient. Great little estate agency - highly recommended.

Avoid this agency. Jenny who deals with the letting side is devious and manipulative. She told me she was diagnosed with a personality disorder 30 years ago and takes medication for that still and that she has ADHD antiques medication for that. She kept leading me up the garden path and then changing everything and I put up with it then when I complained after I came to the property and I hadn't received any bills that were meant to be put into my name by Jenny she said I don't have to answer you and ignored me. I needed the bill for my universal housing element to show that I was at the property. Iron spoke to Lisa one of the directors who owns the company with her husband Elliott. The first time I spoke to her she was recording this was on a mobile she was recording the call but did not tell me and after a couple of minutes of conversation she obviously switched it off her end I heard her phone say call no longer being recorded. I was going to record the Michael but my phone went allow me and I said this to her when I heard that and I said I was thinking the same but I couldn't do it but she was devious. She couldn't deal with just talking on that level from things that she did. On another call she was away with her nephew in London and after the call she's very inappropriately sent me a picture of her with her nephew in some kind of I don't know odd way to I don't know what really just very strange. They took 4 months money off me illegally they discriminated against me in taking the money because it was because I have a disability and I'm on benefits they tried to tell me they took £10,000 off someone a couple of days ago so 4000 is nothing. 4 days after I moved into the property I had a burst hose in the bathroom sink. That was an absolute nightmare for me and I caused myself a lot of harm stopping the water from going onto the landing which would have gone into their flat below. I have to make a video of it and send it to an email address because that's what I was told. There was no phone number it was an hour and a half before the plumber turned up. he said he's come back and do some bits he wasn't allowed to come back the landlady wanted her own plumber he came back and had pictures of more rotten pipes so the landlord knew the pipes were rotten the property had been empty for a year or so something like that I don't know exactly because nobody's telling me any truth and I was led to believe that the agency had rented this place for the last 6 years and that the tenants had been here and that the landlady was meticulous and wanted to know about anything that wasn't right before it caused more troubles. At the same time I noticed the shower fixing was broken and the plug didn't seal the plug hole. I am paying $950 a month and I have to wrap tape around the plug the plug is a non-standard fitting because it's a push down plug and the plumber got me a plug and then Lisa got me a plug and I said they don't fit and they didn't so now I just have to wrap PTFE tape around the plug and because of my disability I have a neck injury and the stress is caused me so long I'm spending several hours in the bath every day and it's a nightmare because if you've run the bath and the plug doesn't hold because it doesn't sit right mare. The radiators do not work unless they are on full and up high and I just want to be comfortable but they don't operate download so that's a nightmare they've told me by law they they that's fine the plumber when he came round and I told him and he saw that they didn't get hot when you turn them down he said it's because they're full of gunk he said they all need to be taken off and flushed out in the system needs to be flushed out but obviously the landlord doesn't want to pay for that so they've just told me that that's ok. There are a million other things I am going to be putting a small claims court in against them for £200,000 at least and I have done none of this I just wanted a nice year in Padstow and what's happened is they absolutely killed me.

I lost my mother on the 24th of July 2025, I was unable to see my mother the weeks leading to her death as I had to move house and had taken so much time off work due to ongoing repairs. I had the opportunity to move in April 2025 to a safe house that my mother could of visited and Clarkes spitefully went back in their agreement. I did not see her before she died. This is beyond personal and I will never forgive them for their actions. The last year of her life I had no place for her to visit and was put through extreme stress. Jenny toke pleasure in being a bully. When I told them about the loss of my mother recently they did not even send condolences. Here's a photo of my late mother, a beautiful woman, who was a nurse for 25 years and cared deeply for others. She will be turning in her grave at their actions. Clarke's should be ashamed of their poor treatment and for supporting a bully when they knew the pain I was going through. Shameful people.
