Terrible experience with Durrants. In 14 weeks they failed to sell our house and only managed a handful of viewings. Emails were ignored, calls never returned, and Koryn admitted they had other properties to focus on instead of ours. We were charged £420 for “marketing and photography” yet saw no marketing at all, not even a sign. The contract is also misleading, with a hidden two-week notice period, so read it carefully before signing.

Durrants staff at Southwold with whom we liaised were Alisha, Lily and Fiona. All were extremely helpful and there was a good balance of enthusiasm and experience. The team were professional and reliable and easy to communicate with. Well done to Alisha in particular as it was one of her first sales. We were kept up to date with viewings and feedback. Everything went through smoothly when it came to exchanging contracts and completing. We would definitely use Durrants again if the need arose.

Trust the bad reviews. Terrible estate agents that lack empathy and compassion, only care about money and don't even have the decency to respond. We rented a house in Reydon short term because they plan to sell the house and I should tell you is not a great place if what you want is peace and quiet. Actions do have consequencies, this is the law of cause and effect or karma as most people know it. Good luck with your life review.

I recently worked with Durrants who put my late parents house on the market. Throughout this process every single person at Durrants was professional, courteous and a delight to work with. Several times we exchanged calls in the evening and as a retired Chartered Accountant whose approach to clients was that 24/7 service was the norm I was very impressed. I meant to write this review some time, ago. Had an excellent experience with Durrants, although the purchase never completed through no fault of theirs. I originally saw a property advertised on Maundy Thursday, and they immediately accommodated me to visit on the following day, Good Friday, once they were aware that it was the only day I could make, and I had a 3 hour + drive. Penny met us at the property, and was very helpful, providing us with lots of advice and ideas. Unfortunately we were pipped at the post by another buyer, but Durrants were fair and very professional in giving us a fair opportunity - Thank you ( I think it was Jan - apologies If I've got this wrong) There were some misunderstandings on my part, having been out of the property market for 27 years, but these were dealt with professionally, so much so, that when the property came back onto the market, we were immediately given 1st refusal. Another quick trip was arranged and we met Penny again at the property. She gave us time and space to fully appraise the property and again was full of helpful advice and ideas. She even introduced us to the owner and arranged and extended stay as she had to leave for another appointment. Speaking to the owner was invaluable. Unfortunately, during this visit, we realised that this was not the dream property we were looking for, and declined to confirm our offer. However, this was not reflection on Durrants, who were professional throughout, and I have no hesitation in recommending them as an agent.

We have stayed in many rental cottages in Southwold using various letting agents. The last 2 have been with Durants. I feel that the basic checking of the properties is lacking as some fundamental things are missing. No loo rolls or towels in the last one and the one before it looked nothing like the pictures (maybe they were accurate when the property was first let!) Maybe a closer eye to be kept 🤔 That all being said the staff are always very apologetic and helpful to try to correct things.

I just wanted to write, as most estate agents get a rough ride (some deservedly so!)... I have been dealing with Durrants for quite a few months now searching for a new home - and I must say, everybody I have spoken to (in different offices) has always been really helpful, polite and professional. As buyers, we are sometimes treated poorly, as the agents are working for (and paid by) the sellers; which feels strange to me because without buyers etc the sellers couldn't sell and vice versa. So a big Thank You to Durrants and their staff - it really is refreshing - keep it up!
