Excellent Team At Chestertons

From day 1 on the first visit with Chestertons we have had a great experience. Selling houses is always stressful and our sale involved a very difficult situation. Chestertons went above and beyond. Great team, great communication, they endeavor to find solutions at all times and we have had possibly the best experience selling property with this team. I would say they have gone above and beyond. We found a great buyer almost immediately for a house that needed a lot of work, but the process has been seamless. We cant recommend highly enough. Chestertons has been great, but this is a shoutout specifically for Jean! My husband and I were moving out of our currently flat and left looking for a place to rent…a little (okay, actually…a “lottle”) last minute. I had inquired about a place, but then got super busy and missed several calls from Jean who was really on the ball and was trying desperately to help set up a viewing (sorry Jean!!!). When I finally got back to him, he was so lovely and patient, even though I really didn’t deserve such good grace. He booked me a viewing the same day, and when I absolutely loved the place, he got my husband and I in for a second viewing the same day in the evening. Ultimately, we have ended up with our dream apartment, and it really is truly thanks to Jean for making everything happen so quickly and for being so helpful and accommodating. We had the fastest turnaround in the history of the Earth for renting a flat, and we are moving in tomorrow…no more than a week after our first viewing! I truly have never worked with a property company like Chestertons, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. And again, huge shoutout to Jean! You deserve a raise. Thank you so much :)

Sleep Deprivation Torture Thanks to Chestertons Incompetence

I recently rented a property through Chestertons. The letting agents were nice enough, but the moment we were handed the keys, the property management arm of Chestertons has been an absolute nightmare. The property was filthy when we moved in, so they promised to send a cleaner. The cleaner arrived, but told me that they'd only been instructed to clean one portion of a skirting board and steam clean the carpets. When I pointed out the grimy, sticky, filthy walls in every room, I was told they 'didn't clean walls.' Turns out, that was the least of our problems. There are no keys to the windows in the apartment and they're locked shut. The alarm system, which we were given no instruction for, beeps in the middle of the night and flashes a bright blue strobe light every time my partner or I move in the night. The previous tenant left furniture and wall mirrors in an unfurnished house, and there are a bunch of other minor maintenance issues we've flagged. The answer we keep getting is that they're "looking into it" and "hope to have an update soon".

By far the worst agency for tenants and landlords

Horrible, horrible, horrible experience with Chestertons Fulham lettings and property management. Multiple issues with the property left unresolved, we finally decided to cut our losses and leave, didn’t receive any compensation for living in a property which had stains and leaks and other issues, instead we were charged an early vacating fee. Escalated to management and then senior management, no one cared. It’s been 3 years we are still scarred by our horrible experience with this company and would not recommend it to our worst enemy. Stay well clear if you value your sanity.

Isaiah Samuels- Despite joining well into our tenancy, Isaiah was extremely proactive in trying to resolve our issues and give his best efforts in all our interactions.
