Incompetent and ignorant

Incompetent and ignorant. I have been waiting 3.5 weeks for an update regarding the return of my deposit, I have had to chase for updates, despite the agents being very communicative in the first instance. I moved out 3.5 weeks ago and I have not heard anything. The lady that carried out my check out was posting videos and images on her own personal social media account of my apartment, the height of unprofessional. I asked for a call from a manager 3 weeks ago regarding this and have not heard anything! I also raised concerns about a suspected leak half way through my tenancy, but never heard anything back so I'm presuming the landlord was never told. As a landlord, take your business elsewhere if you want to ensure your property is looked after and cared for by the acting agents.

Dissapointing, Tedious and Expensive

Dissapointing and tedious. I bought a property through RR. The process was slow and mediocre but in an industry where it's predominantly poor I was patient and can say it was 'ok'. I gave my new investment to RR to then let out and manage. Again the lettings process was alright, ongoing management was a little slow but a few of their people have a good service. After the second year, my tenancy was coming to an end and no one seemed to care. Myself nor my tenants heard from RR despite chasing until after the end date of the tenancy. By that time I had contacted my tenant myself (obviously) and made our own arrangements. Once RR eventually realised they'd dropped a ball, rather than apologise and look to win my business back, they proceeded to pursue me for a termination of service fee. I will not be using their business for any future transactions or management of my portfolio. And should I come across a property I wish to buy advertised by them I will go out of my way to locate the owner and deal directly with them. Not good enough.

I recently purchased a property through reed rains. I wasnt in a hurry to purchase and the staff didn’t rush me, let me view the property when I wanted to (several times ) and guided me through the purchasing process at my pace. Appalling.

When moving in the house was damp and dirty, stains and dirt over most surfaces dispute being told it would be fixed.Repeated complaints of damp were made and ignored. Only when environmental health and citizens advice were contacted did reeds bother to do anything. The only thing they did was harass the tenant. Not make any repairs.On leaving, reeds rains continued to harass the tenant and demanded payment for cleaning, despite cleaning being done by the tenant and the dirty state it was leased in.You will not get a straight answer out of them.I could not recommend them less.

Rental. Severe damp, mildew and mould.

I had the misfortune to use this company. Issues immediately with damp in the property which were repeatedly flagged up and not resolved. The conditions lead to wardrobes and desks being thrown out due to mould damage, mildew and spores on my sofa and mattress, and increased asthma symptoms. All of this was told to the company, merely to be told move furniture further away from the walls. As though 5 inches away was not enough. Walls and wood furniture were bleached fully once a week by myself but merely masked the issue and didn't treat it.Despite citizens advice, and a member of staff at reeds, saying this is unacceptable conditions and a breach of contract, the repairs were still not made. Staff that don't listen or resolve issues, shocking.As well as these awful conditions, dispute has been made over the return of the deposit. How this company is still running is an amazement. I have heard multiple stories so similar to this and yet no improvements.

Specifically the Reeds Rains branch in St Helens. I can not recommend against using this company strongly enough. A continuous repetition of sales spiel backed up with nothing but hot air and hollow lies. DO NOT give them any money up front for "Enhanced Photography" as this serves no purpose whatsoever. DO NOT allow them to lie about the valuation of your property simply to prevent another agent from having it to sell. DO NOT expect a call back with updates. DO NOT expect them to proactively promote your property. DO NOT expect any accountability when errors occur and your requests continuously get ignored. DO not expect that your complaint will be taken seriously when you "elevate" it to the main office. DO NOT expect that staff are invested in your situation as they leave without even informing their colleagues. DO NOT expect any realistic action from this company. DO NOT expect that they will inform you that your property will no longer appear as agreed in the newspaper. DO NOT expect them to even advertise your property at the correct price!! Unless you are happy for your property to fester, languish and become unsellable after too long in the market then feel free for Reeds Rains to ruin any hope you had of moving. Yours, Previously reasonable seller.

Arranged to have an house valued they arranged an appointemnt and time, then confirmed it.waited in and no one turned up. I rang the Ossett branch who had arranged it all and they did not have my appointment in the diary, the woman who answered the phone on Saturday morning was also very unprofessional .
