GoogleDisappointed. We were handed just a single key (without even a keychain) when buying our property, which really showed a lack of care. Andre was also pushy and rude, making the process uncomfortable. On top of that, we had to pay a £2,000 deposit during purchase as we were told seller had this criteria, refundable only after completion, but not something we’ve ever seen before and felt unnecessary. Overall, the experience left us disappointed.

Thank you for your review. As Rockers Smart is not your name I am unable to establish the property you purchased. Firstly I can tell you all of our keys are securely tagged. However when some sales complete it is the owners who are holding the keys. They often only bring one to our office, leaving the rest at the property. I can only assumed this happened in your case. I am not sure why you think this shows a lack of care? With regards to the holding fee, this is something some of our buyers ask for. I believe the amount was £1000 and not £2000 and it was fully returned to you once the sale completed. Lastly I am sorry you felt a team member was pushy and rude. You could have brought this to my attention at any time. Whilst there is no excuse for anyone being rude, sometimes we have to be pushy to get sales done. In our industry we get to deal with brilliant professionals and motivated buyers and sellers. Sometimes however people do need a little push to ensure everyone's needs get met. Finally I hope you are happy in your new home.

GoogleWhile I believe the team at JoR may mean well, the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and apparent staff burnout made an already stressful process significantly worse. I wouldn’t recommend them.
My experience was frustrating from start to finish. It took an unusually long time just to receive the memorandum of sale, followed by 6 weeks of complete silence, no updates to me or my solicitors. It was only after I chased them that my case seemed to resurface, and it turned out the buyers, who had claimed to be cash buyers, actually needed a mortgage (again, 6 weeks later). I wish this was caught earlier on in the process.
Things briefly looked promising again, but then I discovered the buyer had pulled out five days earlier and JoR hadn’t informed me. The explanation? One staff member had left and forwarded the message to another who was on leave, so it was missed. I was even told I could “go elsewhere because Andre was busy and tired”, so I did.

GoogleAvoid This Letting Agency at All Costs!
Our experience with this agency was nothing short of a nightmare. Despite maintaining our two-bedroom house in excellent condition, they constantly found reasons to conduct excessive inspections, sometimes even twice a month!
The letting agent, Josephine, was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. Even after I had a newborn, she insisted on unnecessary revisits, nitpicking over the smallest things, like minor marks on the wall. It felt like they were looking for any excuse to make our lives difficult.
The worst part? When we moved out, despite my husband fully repainting the house and having it professionally cleaned, they still kept our entire security deposit, claiming it needed “repainting.” This was pure exploitation.
I strongly advise anyone looking for a rental in Slough to steer clear of this agency. I’ll be sharing our experience across all relevant local groups to ensure others don’t fall into the same trap.

We carry out routine property inspections to ensure the properties we manage are well looked after so that our tenants can enjoy a comfortable and pleasant living environment and at the same time our landlords investments are looked after. When I came to do the property inspection with you I was extremely disappointment with the condition. I shared my concerns with you. Here is the actual email I sent to you afterwards:
I need to bring to your attention some concerns that I noted regarding the cleanliness of the property:
1. The Kitchen - this was very messy and not clean enough in places. The sink was overflowing with dirty dishes, the floor was dirty and the worktops were not clean.
2. The floors downstairs needed cleaning.
3. Pen/drawings on the wall in the hall. Please arrange for this to be removed asap and the wall repainted if necessary. Can I ask that you prevent your child from drawing on any of the walls in the house.
4. Please keep the house well ventilated, especially the kitchen and bathroom to prevent a buildup of moisture.
I understand that day-to-day life can be hectic, especially with small children however it is essential to maintain a satisfactory standard of cleanliness to ensure the longevity of the property and the well-being of all residents.
We kindly request your cooperation in addressing the cleanliness concerns identified during the inspection.
My team and I never enjoy having to raise matters of cleanliness with our tenants but it is part of our job. We always strive to do this in a caring and kind matter. I know I did this with you and your wife.
A follow up inspection was necessary. I delayed this following the birth of your second child.
When you left the house an independent Inventory Clerk carried out a move out inspection. From the issues identified he recommended that the full deposit was claimed. Main issues were cleanliness and the paintwork, yes you had painted sections of the walls and created patches everywhere. The owner had to get all the walls repainted. He was bitterly disappointed with the condition of the property when you left. The matter was sent to the Deposit Protection Service and they decided based on the evidence that your deposit should be given to the Landlord.
In light of the above Mr Tooba Iqbal I am not sure how you came to the conclusion that you maintained the house in excellent condition as clearly you did not.

Tegan arrived, conducted a valuation left my home and within a couple of hours had arranged a viewing for the following morning. I received an offer following that single viewing. Witin days I received a call from JR regarding a house which had recently come onto the market. My offer was accepted. I can't seem to write a new review so I will add to this one. To follow on from what I said previously I highly recommend Jackson O'Rourke. Our house sale fell through and by the end of the day we already had another 6 viewings booked in and an offer accepted by the next day. Tegan is amazing, if it wasn't for him then the stress of moving would have been even more stressful. Tegan pretty much did the job of all solicitors in the chain as well as his own job by the end of it. I honestly cannot thank Tegan enough!!
