The agent who came to value my house with a view to selling it, was unprofessional. He took two weeks to return my call and couldn't see a problem with this. When I told him I was going with another agent he said I 'must be mad'. He persisted in chewing my ear off as I was at work, forcing me to put the phone down on him. Later, when viewing a house Harrison Boothman were marketing, with a view to buying it, the agent (and director) apologised for this behaviour and told me to contact him if I had any future queries or questions. This I did, when attempting to buy that house. He did not call me when that house didn't sell (which he assured me he would) and has not returned a further call, leaving me fearing I may not get the house I so desperately want to buy. I am appalled that these people call themselves 'professionals' - the customer certainly does not come first!

They recently valued our house, but for personal reasons we didn't move. Three weeks after putting in a offer for a property I got a call from Harrison Boothman during which a man who wouldn't let me get a word in edgeways gave me a ear-bashing for having sent the offer letter to the homeowner (I had asked HB prior permission to do this and they had phoned the homeowner, confirmed it with them and given me the go ahead and the name to address it with). He didn't even acknowledge it when I finally managed to tell him that I'd asked before hand; just went on to inform me that this should be 'an education in how to value a property' to me (apparently the offer wasn't good enough!). Pretty annoyed by this, in my opinion, unprofessional and unnecessary behaviour.

I never had to meet the purchaser, arrange a viewing, agree a price or do anything other than sign my name - a very easy, efficient and quick all inclusive service. I'd like to commend Harrison Boothman for the truly first class customer experience that I recently enjoyed during my family's house move to Skipton. The buyer pulled out of the house purchase of my buyer's property after 8 weeks. HB turned a horrible situation in which we really thought we'd missed out on the opportunity to buy our dream home into an excellent outcome for all parties throughout the chain. All parties were immediately contacted by HB, everyone agreeing to keep their prospective property sales on hold to enable the seller at the beginning of the chain to find another buyer. Two weeks later and everything was back on track! I really can't thank HB enough. Regular updates, prompt call backs, nothing too much trouble, very friendly team, professional service and advice! I really can't rate HB highly enough for such an excellent service and firmly recommend their services to anyone.
