Charles McCarthy Estate Agents & Valuers Skibereen reviews

Brilliant service from super nice people. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Maeve McCarthy and the team were so helpful, straightforward and understanding. From the start, nothing was too much trouble and I found their high level of experience and knowledge extremely reassuring. Everyone was friendly and easy to deal with: excellent communication, always quick to get back to my queries and so on. It made all the difference. I felt they really went the extra mile to make the process as easy as possible for me. It was great to deal with a family run business and people who take a lot of care and pride in what they do. Thank you so much Maeve and all the team for making my dream move possible! I'm sure I could not have done it without you. From a very happy customer!

We have just sold our property in west cork. Maeve McCarthy was professional, knowledgable and gave us sound advice at all times throughout the whole sales process. I would highly recommend Maeve to anyone selling or indeed buying a property. Continued success to Maeve and all at McCarthy Auctioneers, Skibereen.

We can't say enough about Maeve McCarthy. As American expats, we found it difficult to understand and navigate the Irish real estate market. Home sales do not work the way they do in the U.S. At all. Which can be very unnerving. Maeve kept us grounded, explained the process, told us what to look out for, and basically kept us from losing our mind during the process. We couldn't have asked for a better advocate and advisor. We sold our house to a lovely couple who will love it as much as we did. All thanks to Maeve and her team.

A professional and engaging service! We were recommended to use this realtor by a friend and we are delighted with the outcome. Both Charles and Maeve are professional, experienced and very knowledgeable. They suggested a while back when we had an evaluation done to get 'our ducks in a row' in the event of selling in the future. We did not have any notions of selling so soon, as our plan was perhaps to sell in approximately 4 to 5 years when we retire. However, we started getting certain requirements organised and were very grateful for this advice as there are numerous hoops to jump through. Due to a relocation we decided to sell in mid 2022. Our sale progressed far quicker due to the advice received and it made our experience a lot more palatable and efficient. I couldn't have asked for better! A huge thank you to Maeve who is a delight - professional and a sense of humour!

I recently sold a property with Charles McCarthy Estate Agents and dealt with Sean Carmody. Of the estate agents who visited for valuations, Sean had displayed the most knowledge of the housing market of Skibbereen and we were happy with his valuation and how he said he would manage the marketing and viewings. I am not based locally so consistent communication of viewing feedback was important and Sean delivered upon his word on the valuation appointment that he would provide feedback often. A cash buyer was secured within a couple of weeks of going to market and the house has since been sold to this buyer. I am very happy with the service I received.

Well laid out series of exhibitions. A little too much writing for my liking but shared a good potted history of the area.
