Family run estate agents, really helpful and friendly. They kept us updated during our move which was a great relief as we were moving a considerable distance. I have had an association with Farebrother Smith for 7 years now for both renting properties and also for renting my property out and although I have rented through other agents in the past, Farebrother Smith is the best in the town in my opinion and I would not go to anyone else now. Lisa and her team go that extra mile to make sure the the process of renting and the paperwork involved goes through as smoothly as possible and I would thoroughly recommend Farebrother Smith to anyone. I have always found any of the staff to be courteous and helpful and never any problem with them getting back to you!

I would rate lower if i could.. Today I've seen a property I liked and just wanted to view it this is a 3 bed house, I was told I can't view it because is to small... Based on the fact that I have 4 children.. As far as I'm aware 5 ppl can live just fine in a 3 bed house, very unhelpful and rude

I'd dealt with three different Shrewsbury letting agents previously this year & each time the experience was underwhelming. Calls not returned when I'd enquired about viewing, no communication after viewing & generally made to feel they were doing me a massive favour just by answering phone. When I first rang Farebrother Smith they arranged two viewings with no fuss. Lisa explained exactly what evidence she needed regarding references etc & although the first property turned out to be a non-starter, less than an hour after I'd met her at property no. 2 she'd spoken to landlord & rang me to offer tenancy. Absolutely brilliant service. Everyone I've spoken to there has been friendly, helpful & easy going & I cannot recommend them highly enough.

They take the money in one hand and fob you off with the other, when calling you either talk to two woman that work there that seem to never give you a straight answer on anything, take forever to get back to you. Between me and my wife we earn 40k+ a year and were looking at renting a property in Shrewsbury. Apparently they tried to say we could not afford to live somewhere where the rent was just 650 a month, and we required a guarantor, who themselves were needed to be earning over £2000 a month. We went to coopergreenPooks, and we found a lovely property for 725.00 which was bigger and there checks took less then a day to complete and they asked for no guarantor. I'd advice to ignore this letting agent as I think there knowledge on the rental market is fairly poor, the people working here are rather snobbish and really in my opinion aint got a clue.
